@jolieplanettee It's funny how you always think you speak fluently but then you watch the news and you think they're talking incredibly fast. My cousin Hans-Albrecht said that about our news but it's really very slow. :)
shyjaa: Nobody is offened, and I'm not parisian! I say only that there's a standard french (this one you can hear at the french radio or TV), and that video is in standard french. From my part, Just one objection: he pronounces "juin" as "joint" [jwin]. Salut la Belgique.
@elphaphoenix : That's standard french. But it's pronounced very slowly and in a very articulated way. that's not abnormal in this kind of video, but That's probably the difference with your teacher. Greetings from France.
i am very much like this french lesson, it help me to revived the french i was studied when i am in grade and high school in back old days. i used english, but the french is so far left behind. thanks all teachers to get back to my base. i spoke french fluencely at the time. but not much now day. i try to read books in french, and understand some, but not to listen to news because they are talking too fast. thankyou....!!!!
awsome video!! I speak only English but my 6 year old sister is in french Immersion kindergarten, this really helps us to help her in proper pronunciation!!
Hi ParisByPod, I enjoy your videos very much. Can you teach some adjectives + noun phrases? For examle, sunny day, beautiful car, kind lady etc? Then teach beginning grammar structure like: This/That is, It is etc to form simple sentences? Thanks.
by the way for words like Septembre, I pronounce it as "sep-tawmb" and I leave out the end, my teacher doesn't really pronounce the end too, it is the same? Similarly, for quatre, I say "cut". Is it understandable if I say this to a french?
when you are pronouncing the words individually you would say it like he did...but in sentences when you are speaking fast, you generally say it more the way you do.
@ParisByPod I really want to learn French but it's a lot harder for me because a lot of the letters in the words are silent. :( French is a beautiful language and I wanna be able to go to Quebec or France. Any tips on the 'r' in the French language? I mean, I know it's not like in Spanish where you can easily roll your tongue but isn't it almost like a spitting sound?
merci beaucoup!!!
