  • What are the main pronunciation differences between Quebecois French and standard French? I'm learning French

  • Right now, and if I go to Canada I don't want to be in for too much of a shock (:

  • @jamaicamon2008 Quebecois accent is more accentuate, singing if I can say like that, try to look some Canadian videos to compare to french ones ^^ Sorry for the mistakes, hope I helped you =)

  • Merde! Le français est fils de salope pour apprendre.

  • @Laurencat1

Pourquoi? Le français est la language jolie.

  • No i speak like that, i'm french but not parisian.

  • @jolieplanettee It's funny how you always think you speak fluently but then you watch the news and you think they're talking incredibly fast. My cousin Hans-Albrecht said that about our news but it's really very slow. :)

  • JUIN!!!!!!!!!!

  • That's the accent from Paris

  • @shyjaa : that's not the accent of Paris, that's standard french. Greetings from the south of France.

  • Sorry i don't mean to offend you. It's just a fact. Mais heureusement parce que l'accent parisien ou francais est

vachement mieux que celui de Belgique... Greetings from Belgium =p

  • shyjaa: Nobody is offened, and I'm not parisian! I say only that there's a standard french (this one you can hear at the french radio or TV), and that video is in standard french. From my part, Just one objection: he pronounces "juin" as "joint" [jwin]. Salut la Belgique.

  • haha :30 its funny how he said it but i know thats how u say it haha

  • this sounds nothing what my french teacher says. wtf? is it different?

  • no she's just american

  • maybe your teacher is a female... and maybe french isnt her first language!

  • @elphaphoenix : That's standard french. But it's pronounced very slowly and in a very articulated way. that's not abnormal in this kind of video, but That's probably the difference with your teacher. Greetings from France.

  • i am very much like this french lesson, it help me to revived the french i was studied when i am in grade and high school in back old days. i used english, but the french is so far left behind. thanks all teachers to get back to my base. i spoke french fluencely at the time. but not much now day. i try to read books in french, and understand some, but not to listen to news because they are talking too fast. thankyou....!!!!

  • thxxxx

  • @misspeckpeck wtf lool

  • A great tool to learn is also the DS "My French Coach". It also helps with pronunciation!

  • wait...thats for the Nintendo DS??

  • @01Rell Yup, Nintendo DS. I've easily learned the basics from it. It's really cool.

  • @Megara Me too!! I love it.

  • THnk you SO Much!

  • you are a friken lifesaver.

  • you totally saved my grade!

  • Thank you ! This was my french home work for tomorrow and I didn't know how to pronunce it XD

  • your pronounciations make me smile :P :) thankyou for your videos!x

  • Very good. Thanks. It helps my daughter with her first French lessons. Ans who said Youtube is only for bad stuff.

    Do some more!!!!

  • vous etes tres genereux j aimerai bien avoir plus d aide pour maitriser votre langue merci infiniment abdennasser62

  • Hi ParisByPod, I enjoy your videos very much. Can you teach some adjectives + noun phrases? For examle, sunny day, beautiful car, kind lady etc? Then teach beginning grammar structure like: This/That is, It is etc to form simple sentences? Thanks.

  • by the way for words like Septembre, I pronounce it as "sep-tawmb" and I leave out the end, my teacher doesn't really pronounce the end too, it is the same? Similarly, for quatre, I say "cut". Is it understandable if I say this to a french?

  • when you are pronouncing the words individually you would say it like he did...but in sentences when you are speaking fast, you generally say it more the way you do.

  • good tutorial! J'apprend le Francais, mais je connais un peu francais. Bon tutorial!

  • wow! my hero! This is wonderful!!! Please make more of these videos.

    Merci :)

  • merci! that was very helpful.

  • ok No Problem ! tell me if you have special needs in French : I'll try to do more !

    A Bientot !

  • U should do lessons to learn how to read and right french.. Thats the confusing part for me at least:)

  • @ParisByPod I really want to learn French but it's a lot harder for me because a lot of the letters in the words are silent. :( French is a beautiful language and I wanna be able to go to Quebec or France. Any tips on the 'r' in the French language? I mean, I know it's not like in Spanish where you can easily roll your tongue but isn't it almost like a spitting sound?

  • this is better than the others

    merci merci

  • merci :)
