Its a Great controller, its just poorly manufactured...and with that comes all the technical issues...i bought 2 from Best Buy and got the protection plan for 2 years on both...so far they both work fine(Knock on Wood) if anything goes wrong i can exchange or return the controllers for store credit... I recommend if you Guys really want one(Best Controller I've used) get it through Best Buy and get protection plan for $9.00 You Can't go Wrong!!
@OranJuno Finally an informative review. I can't believe you did this on your own time and didn't receive a dime from Razer. They owe you some free hardware at least. Can you tell me if you've used the Onza SE at all, if so, what were some differences in the analog sticks vs TE besides the obvious inability to change the resistance
Thanks for the compliments =). I don't know if they feel the owe me anything considering this isn't an all-too flattering review. They might be more interested in someone they could bribe to do a flowery but dishonest review. I have not tried the SE, sorry, so I couldn't tell you the differences from personal account.
Well.. I have a Razer Onza TE Edition! However, I found the left analog stick too hard to press. Practically impossible to run in a game ('sprint' in Black Ops, for example).
I will return it. Take another and wait to see if the problem still happens. Do you have this problem to SPRIN in a FPS game with the stick???? THANKS!
@dcloko Mine does too. Very frustrating ATM. I am hoping it might loosen up after some use. Apart from that, I am using a controlfreak on the right stick with a few clicks of tension and my fine tune aim is a little better.
After owning this controller for 2 weeks I honestly don't recommend this controller for FPS's .Just slap on some Kontrol Freeks to the microsoft controller and your accuracy will be much better.
before this video i watched a really bad review where the kid say and does nothing for two minutes and thirty sec before making a fool of himself. I was frustrated to hell, then I came upon OJ's review and felt totally satisfied. Great Job! Please make more, finally a totally intelligent review and fascinating review, Graphs were great and i learned a lot!!!
Will the duster can really fix my double tap bumper? I always thought it was a hardware problem. Microsoft products always seem to crap out on me. Does this mean I have to buy a torq screwdriver to open it up?
Thanks! I appreciate the comment. I didn't want to just add another one-shot hands-and-controller "the buttons? yeah they feel like nice and stuff" review, and I'm glad you noticed.
good 2 see sum1 that uses scientific data and hard evidence in their review

I play a ton of Halo, so not being able to tell where exactly the sticks max out is a huge issue.

I think the d Pad should of been really low, and have the "mouse click" functionality.

Amazing review. It's nice to see some science in place of just opinions. Thanks for helping me make up my mind, and keep up the good work!

hello do you have a ps3 controller to test the force on its sticks? so i cant put the razer onza the same force
HitmanXStudios 9 months ago
hmm...Razer spent so much time and resources and made such a stupid joystick...
luckily i doesn't buy 1...
wonder if they will modify the controller..
i think they are best to stick back with keyboard, mouse and headsets...
Their quality control is that bad? i have terrible experience with Razer's product..
However, with that being said....i am glad that they did improve from their previous mistakes..
recently warrantied my Razer Lycosa, and this 1 works well... :D

I can't believe anyone would touch this controller and actually want to use it. It is terrible, and you showed why.

@heedtheninja67
That's a good question, and I wish I had a better answer for you.
In my experience, when a mouse develops this "multi-click" problem,
it temporarily alleviates it by blowing air directly under the button to clear
out any dust that may be causing multiple actuations.
However, you are right, the problem may not be as simple as that, and
might require replacement.
Thank you for allowing me to clarify.
