@NonPointRulz101 LMAO! If it's one thing the christians are good at it's ignoring the facts, whether it's the atrocities committed by God in the Old Testament or evolution.
@Belphegorfan54 hahahaha silly christians and their ignorance. i can assure you, this nation was NOT founded on christianity. if it was, i would be out of here faster than you can say jesus lol
(Continued) Why did God allow the Japanese to succeed in killing so many American soldiers in Pearl Harbor? If anything God hates America because it's a sin to rebel against your nation "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities; For there is no authority except from God, and those authorities that exist instituted by God. Therefor who ever resists authority, resists what God has appionted, and those who resist will incur judgement." Romans 13:1
I can't watch this anymore. First off America was never intended to be a christian nation, it was intened to be a nation of all creeds. Some of the Founding Fathers such as Thomas Jefferson weren't christians, they were deists and all of them believed in a secular govenment. If America is blessed by God then why did the British succeed in burning down the White House in the war of 1812? Why did America go into a bloody civil war? (To be continued)
lol. Thomas Jefferson was a Deist and the treaty of tripoli which was signed by john adams says that we are not a christian nation. A LEGAL document signed by a founding father says that we aren't a christian nation. Neither Thomas Jefferson nor Ben Franklin believed that Jesus was divine.

I mean both. The song is uplifting to me, and I believe that the main theme is true, even if there are faults in the song. It's not the Bible, so there probablly are. And thank you for your comments. They showed me that I really do need to research this stuff more and not take other peoples word for it. I won't have time to research everything I get into a debate about, but there are things I should go find the answer, instead of only hearing to what others have written about the subject. thanks
holy shit dude!! What i would'nt do to have more people think that way.
"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity." -Albert Einstein
Another thing i will say to you as an ex christian is this. Never stop questioning, even when it contradicts your beliefs. If your beliefs are true, your questioning will lead you to that conclusion. If they are false, then you will find the truth. It was difficult losing my faith, but it was necessary. I am a happier and better person because of it.
I would highly recomend educating yourself on both sides of everything. If you only hear one side of the story then how can you come to your own conclusion? I would also recomend watching the playlist From Big Bang to Us -- Made Easy by potholer54. any of his 10 min videos is as educational as doing hours of reading.
Good point. Then again, when I educated myself on both sides, I came to the opposite conclusion as you. Of course, I started out being an Atheist, and the Light is a lot easier to see when your standing in the Dark. I only found what I needed when I was no longer blinded by what I thought I wanted...
Sniffy, I can't ever remember being an "non-believer". I just can't fathom being a believer and turning away from God. My heart hurts for you. Not condeming you for your choice, I just wonder what lead you down that path. My faith is just so strong, God is so real to me the thought of there being no God just isn't a question for me. I appreciate your honesty here. It just makes me sooo curious.
hey, i would've replied sooner but i just got out of boot camp. if you want to know what killed my faith, it was the bible. the more i read, the more revolted i was by it.

ABRAHAM LINCOLN-"The Bible is not my book nor Christianity my profession. I could never give assent to the long, complicated statements of Christian dogma."
"The earth is flat, and anyone who disputes this claim is an atheist who deserves to be punished." THAT is the product of religous zealotry, keep god out of America unless you wish to repeat the dark ages.
SAMUEL ADAMS-"When philosophic reason is clear and certain by intuition or necessary induction, no subsequent revelation supported by prophecies or miracles can supersede it."
John jay was a christian. Oh well, i guess even a broken clock is right twice a day.
THOMAS JEFFERSON-"The day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the Supreme Being as His father, in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter."
GEORGE WASHINGTON-"Religious controversies are always productive of more acrimony and irreconcilable hatreds than those which spring from any other cause. I had hoped that liberal and enlightened thought would have reconciled the Christians so that their [not our?] religious fights would not endanger the peace of Society"
ok this rewriting of history is absolutely reprehensible. Thomas Jefferson coined the term separation of church and state, george washington drafted the treaty of tripoli (look up art. 11). religion is mentioned only twice in the constitution. first amenment "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" and under article 6 "but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."
It says that 52 out of 54 of the men who wrote the constitution were active in their church. They came to america to escape religious rules, so they weren't about to make rules that were religiously biased towards their religion. They recognized that there were rules that need to be set, though because people are sinful by nature.
I would need to research this more, because I actually don't know that much about this. What biography are you referring to? Correct if I'm wrong, but the forefathers did not all ratify it, did they? I understood that there were only 23 of 32 sitting senators there. I don't know who the 23 were, so maybe I'm wrong.
it is from Thomas Jefferson's autobiography. And yes, only 23 were there. It wouldnt of mattered if the other 9 voted no because the 23 had over 2/3 of the votes.
"If a significant number of voters choose not to be present for the vote, the vote will fail due to lack of quorum, and the status quo will remain." This is probably the reason that some of the 9 did not attend.
actually there were 55 men, however only 39 of them signed it. And as far as the other 52 being christian, here is an excerpt from Thomas Jefferson's biography
"...an amendment was proposed by inserting the words, 'Jesus Christ...the holy author of our religion,' which was rejected 'By a great majority in proof that they meant to comprehend, within the mantle of its protection, the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and the Mohammedan, the Hindoo and the Infidel of every denomination."
You're very welcome Jerry. My take on the video is... if you don't like it, don't watch it. I believe we need God back in our schools! Look how our country is falling apart! And it's all going down hill since we starting taking God out of things!
once again, god cannot be in public school. Its as simple as this, the gov. cannot give preferencial treatment to one faith over another. you want god in school but what you fail to realize is how oppressive that would be to everyone who is not a christian. if you were the minority and we had a state religion how would you like having someone elses beliefs crammed down your throat all the time? i can tell you from experience that it sucks.
Brother keep up the Good work, Love the video and as for those who don't like what it has to say Delta is ready when you are.... go to another country and voice your opinion about thier religious views and see where it gets you. Demon's maggots scrape away the body in decay. From the inside until your savior is empty. His failure is cleansed by your hatred. Your god stands below dark emptiness. Lost and forgotten in the cold depths. Glaring up from the bottom arises Satan. The body of christ shall satisfy his hunger. Vomit your pallid beliefs. As you live to suffer in ignorance. Save your false pity for those who care. Purged of the will to live your life. You have nothing but a lifeless prayer.
woah woah wwoah i just listened to the whole song and its way way way way too religious ..it brings god into america wich is wrong...sorta wrong....he says let the word of god revive it.wich is tottaly wrong and it shows the bible too and not every one believes in the bible.and not evry one belives in god. and america is supposed too be with all religions......atheist too.. and as much as i know they dont belive in god...

According to my beliefs, and I posted the video... I follow the 10 commandments. And #1 is, thou shall have no other Gods before me. That means, Christianity is all there is. I'm sorry if that offends any other religion. When standing before God on judgment day, I WILL NOT tell Him, sorry, I was trying to be politically correct. I want to hear Him say, well done good and faithful servant!
Jesus would not like America. Conservatives say this country was based on the Bible but it was really founded on invasion(of native americans), rebellion(from Britian),slavery(of africans). They parade around a flag that each star represent the territory they stole, they idolize a obelisk of a woman welded from a pagan Greek god, and admire an eagle that you drove to extinction. Jesus never held a flag. Patroits(worshippers) of America.
the statue of liberty was a gift from france, she is stepping on the chain of slavery, and so you know, true we did invade the territory of the native americans, but no one is perfect
Yes, when you let corrupt governments try to rule over the bible you get trouble. Let the bible speak for itself. You can't let a government MAKE you a certain denominatation or faith. You're totally misunderstanding all of what those leaders were leaving Britain for. It wasn't to get away from religion or God. It wasa to get away from thegovernment telling them how to practice their religion! That is the seperation of state from church we need and want!
are you listening to this song seriously? it says that we are now #1 in teen pregnancies, violent crime, illiteracy, drug use and divorce" teens got pregnant as early as 13 by grown men who were basically pedefiles who sought to marry young girls till the 20's. Violent crime was also rapid with mob hangings of slaves, race riots against immigrants. The Civil War?. America also have a much higher literacy rating then it had say 100 years ago. Tobacco is a drug. And spouses were killed.
"Shake off all the fears of servile prejudices, under which weak minds are servilely crouched. Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call on her tribunal for every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason than that of blindfolded fear. "
retards of religion fanatic, u cannot live a free life with your own intelligence or whats write from wrong..u always have to depend on religion to think for u, worst yet even kill for it. u believe there is some god who die for your insane action.. or will come and save u. grow up, just take your own responsibility into your own hands..economic enslavement, religion enslavement... lord!!!!
You're like a little child that goes through market and all you see is the toys or candies, regardless of why you're really there, maybe parents are looking for some medication to cure your illness... America is a NATION.... UNDER GOD! And no it's not a church, and it doesn't need RELIGION, it needs GOD!!!!!!!!!!! period. So if you ever wonder why this NATION is in the situation it is, it's because we've slowly taken our/your Creator out of it's equation. What you end up with is a SICK NATION!
"You're like a little child.." You analogy makes no sense. All I can gather from it is your desire to be insulting and a bad smell of arrogance and ignorance. God is a myth, fambeile. And an ugly one. It's time to end the tyranny of religion. We need a constitutional amendment to prohibit the public display of religious symbols and the broadcasting of religious propaganda and the aggressive promotion of religion
I see the problem, you don't believe in God, your creator. otherwise, all I hear from you is religion, religion, religion. I'm not for religion, religion has done some terrible things to society and people as a whole. I'm talking about the need for God to intervene and people to believe in Him and trust Him. He is the only answer, believe it or not. He is not a myth as you will find out sooner or later, hopefully sooner. I am not ignorant or arrogant but rather caring. I care about the U.S.
I'm sorry you don't believe in God. I'm also sorry you felt insulted by.... well I'm not sure. The "little child" thing maybe? I had a feeling you were out of place making that comment you did about "putting it back in your pants, nazis, etc." And you're telling me about insults? By the way, which dictionary should I use? It's hard finding one that doesn't use the Bible as a foundation to all it's definitions.. Woww! That really questions your facts and scientific knowledge and all... God Bless!
the supreme court has essentially interpreted the establishment clause to mean that religion will not interfere in government affairs and that it will not respect any religion over another or religion over irreligion. Our constitution gives only the supreme court the power to interpret the disputed parts of it. If you don't like how our constitution works, then too bad.
@fambeile its actually because of over spending, inflation, war, corrupt politicians, and etc.... hmmm i dont think god has anything to do with that, maybe because he isnt reall
the united states was first owned by indians and then americans came here and forced them off bassiccaly killing them so i dnt knw wat ur tryin to day
@candybaby903 I know what you are saying, America was never God fearing, ask the Native Americans. YouTube Truth seekers are way to clever to this Crap. I trust the Lord Jesus not America to save me.
@candybaby903 The Native Americans never claimed to "own" anything. Their belief is that the Great Spirit provided everything for them and they were the caretakers. I agree that the original Americans got a raw deal, but that is in the past and we have to live in today's world and go forward in peace and love for one another.
@Mrsjanetg - the native indians didn't "get a raw deal" and that "caretaker" stuff is mostly bull - revisionist history of bleeding heart Liberalism. Researching historical accounts you'll find the indians were quite uncivilized and many were cannibals that resisted the inevitability of an advancing civilized human existence. There's historic accounts of many native groups embracing the change, yet faced bloody prejudices from their own people as well as from "civilized men".
@byblosadvocate "many were cannibals" Some of them were, but they were VERY VERY VERY few. None of the major tribes such as the Sioux, Iroquois, or algonquin practiced cannibalism
@sunset261 - Wrong -Your talking about the years following the second and third waves of explorers and colonizers from Europe and the East. Get informed.
@byblosadvocate A. Show me evidence that any of the tribes that i named EVER practiced cannibalism. When we came here they tried to make peace with us, offered us food, and showed us ways to survive off the land, and we sent them to reservations and killed many of them.
@sunset261 - you're a brain-washed skull full of revisionist history, you lack any real knowledge of actual historical events. Did you learn all that BS in a public school? LOL! They keep things like that in books in buildings called libraries. Check it out kid. Don't blab any more of your ignoramus crapaganda - you bore me.
@byblosadvocate I'm just asking for some evidence. If you could show me evidence that most of them practiced cannibalism then I would surely change my mind.
@candybaby903 - when the "Indians", of which I am a descend of, thrived in the north Americas it was NOT a country, it was an uncivilized wilderness where the natives brutally fought and killed each other and engaged in cannibalism. "Americans" didn't come here, they didn't exists then stupid - a host of immigrants formed America, and they didn't kill the Indians any more than they killed out of primitive ignorance. Some one is teaching you a load of BS kid.
Not true. Jefferson was agnostic but still believed that the morals the Bible teachs are the morals that will keep this country strong. See religion brings a strong sense of belonging and when people share that belief the tend to treat people more like family instead of strangers and not violently. Go to any small town in the Bible belt and see how freindly they are and then go to an intercity were God is forgotten or not thought of much and see how unfriendly they are.
Technically he was a Deist, and I would argue that if he knew what we know today he would have been an atheist. Is that what he thought? I've never seen anything to support that.
And that's faulty logic. Inner cities are often very religious. What ties them all together is a number of socioeconomic problems, not their beliefs. Go into any (ok, many) small town in the bible belt and tell them you think about something differently than they do. Maybe about God/gays/guns. Then look for the love.
What part of " One nation UNDER GOD" don't people get?

"This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it." - John Adams

Thomas Jefferson

And, perhaps, they knew it
was Christ himself who first proposed the separation of church and state;
"Give unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and unto the Lord that which is the
Lord's."

These Founding Fathers were a reflection of the American population. Having
escaped from the state-established religions of Europe, only 7% of the
people in the 13 colonies belonged to a church when the Declaration of
Independence was signed.

Madison objected to state-supported chaplains in Congress and to the
exemption of churches from taxation. He wrote "Religion and government will
both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together."
googliemooblie 2 years ago
Finally let's hear from James Madison
"What influence in fact have Christian ecclesiastical establishments had on
civil society? In many instances they have been upholding the thrones of
political tyrrany. In no instance have they been seen as the guardians of
the liberties of the people. Rulers who wished to subvert the public liberty
have found in the clergy convenient auxiliaries. A just government,
instituted to secure and perpetuate liberty, does not need the clergy."
googliemooblie 2 years ago
Adams signed the Treaty of Tripoli. Article 11 states
"The Government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the
Christian religion."
googliemooblie 2 years ago
Also Adams
"The doctrine of the divinity of Jesus is made a convenient cover for
absurdity."
googliemooblie 2 years ago
John Adams
"Where do we find a precept in the Bible for Creeds, Confessions, Doctrines
and Oaths, and whole cartloads of other trumpery that we find religion
encumbered with in these days?"
googliemooblie 2 years ago
Jefferson's word for the Bible? "Dunghill."
googliemooblie 2 years ago
More Jefferson
"The clergy converted the simple teachings of Jesus into an engine for
enslaving mankind and adulturated by artificial constructions into a
contrivance to filch wealth and power to themselves...these clergy in fact,
constitute the real Anti-Christ."
googliemooblie 2 years ago
Jefferson again
"Christianity...(has become) the most perverted system that ever shone on
man...Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the
teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and imposters led by Paul, the
first great corruptor of the teachings of Jesus."
googliemooblie 2 years ago
Thomas Jefferson
"I have examined all the known superstitions of the world & I do not find
in our particular superstition of Christianity 1 redeeming feature. They
are all alike founded on fables & mythology. Millions of innocent men,
women, & children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been
burnt, tortured, fined, & imprisoned. What has been the effect of this
coercion? To make 1 half the world fools & the other half hypocrites; to
support roguery & error all over the earth."

Time for the tyranny of Christianity.
America is a NATION, not a CHURCH.
Put it back in your pants, you religious Nazis.
Imaginefree69 3 years ago
You're like a little child that goes through market and all you see is the toys or candies, regardless of why you're really there, maybe parents are looking for some medication to cure your illness... America is a NATION.... UNDER GOD! And no it's not a church, and it doesn't need RELIGION, it needs GOD!!!!!!!!!!! period. So if you ever wonder why this NATION is in the situation it is, it's because we've slowly taken our/your Creator out of it's equation. What you end up with is a SICK NATION!

Imaginefree69 3 years ago
I see the problem, you don't believe in God, your creator. otherwise, all I hear from you is religion, religion, religion. I'm not for religion, religion has done some terrible things to society and people as a whole. I'm talking about the need for God to intervene and people to believe in Him and trust Him. He is the only answer, believe it or not. He is not a myth as you will find out sooner or later, hopefully sooner. I am not ignorant or arrogant but rather caring. I care about the U.S.
fambeile 3 years ago 2
"you don't believe in God"
No, I do not.
And America was founded that we might have FREEDOM,
not that we should all be christians.
When you talk about god you are talking religion.
See your dictionary for confirmation.
"I am not ignorant or arrogant "
Then you should consider using facts rather than insults.
Imaginefree69 3 years ago
I'm sorry you don't believe in God. I'm also sorry you felt insulted by.... well I'm not sure. The "little child" thing maybe? I had a feeling you were out of place making that comment you did about "putting it back in your pants, nazis, etc." And you're telling me about insults? By the way, which dictionary should I use? It's hard finding one that doesn't use the Bible as a foundation to all it's definitions.. Woww! That really questions your facts and scientific knowledge and all... God Bless!
fambeile 3 years ago
"It's hard finding [a dictionary] that doesn't use the Bible as a foundation to all it's definitions"
How absurd.
Dictionaries do not consult your holey book.
They consult the language as used by those who speak it.
For instance
"religion |rɪˌlɪdʒ(ə)n|
noun
the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, esp. a personal God or gods"
That would define xianity very nicely.
Imaginefree69 3 years ago
the supreme court has essentially interpreted the establishment clause to mean that religion will not interfere in government affairs and that it will not respect any religion over another or religion over irreligion.

@candybaby903 I know what you are saying, America was never God fearing, ask the Native Americans. YouTube Truth seekers are way to clever to this Crap. I trust the Lord Jesus not America to save me.
zmelli 1 year ago
@candybaby903 The Native Americans never claimed to "own" anything. Their belief is that the Great Spirit provided everything for them and they were the caretakers. I agree that the original Americans got a raw deal, but that is in the past and we have to live in today's world and go forward in peace and love for one another.
Mrsjanetg 1 year ago
@Mrsjanetg - the native indians didn't "get a raw deal" and that "caretaker" stuff is mostly bull - revisionist history of bleeding heart Liberalism. Researching historical accounts you'll find the indians were quite uncivilized and many were cannibals that resisted the inevitability of an advancing civilized human existence. There's historic accounts of many native groups embracing the change, yet faced bloody prejudices from their own people as well as from "civilized men".
byblosadvocate 1 year ago
@byblosadvocate "many were cannibals" Some of them were, but they were VERY VERY VERY few. None of the major tribes such as the Sioux, Iroquois, or algonquin practiced cannibalism
sunset261 1 year ago
@sunset261 - Wrong -Your talking about the years following the second and third waves of explorers and colonizers from Europe and the East. Get informed.
byblosadvocate 1 year ago
@byblosadvocate A. Show me evidence that any of the tribes that i named EVER practiced cannibalism. When we came here they tried to make peace with us, offered us food, and showed us ways to survive off the land, and we sent them to reservations and killed many of them.
sunset261 1 year ago
@sunset261 - you're a brain-washed skull full of revisionist history, you lack any real knowledge of actual historical events. Did you learn all that BS in a public school? LOL! They keep things like that in books in buildings called libraries. Check it out kid. Don't blab any more of your ignoramus crapaganda - you bore me.
byblosadvocate 1 year ago
@byblosadvocate I'm just asking for some evidence. If you could show me evidence that most of them practiced cannibalism then I would surely change my mind.
sunset261 1 year ago
@candybaby903 - when the "Indians", of which I am a descend of, thrived in the north Americas it was NOT a country, it was an uncivilized wilderness where the natives brutally fought and killed each other and engaged in cannibalism. "Americans" didn't come here, they didn't exists then stupid - a host of immigrants formed America, and they didn't kill the Indians any more than they killed out of primitive ignorance. Some one is teaching you a load of BS kid.
byblosadvocate 1 year ago
@candybaby903 bro your literally skipping ahead one full century, hes talking about the beginning and the end nothing about middle centuries.
b171941 1 year ago
Not true. Jefferson was agnostic but still believed that the morals the Bible teachs are the morals that will keep this country strong. See religion brings a strong sense of belonging and when people share that belief the tend to treat people more like family instead of strangers and not violently. Go to any small town in the Bible belt and see how freindly they are and then go to an intercity were God is forgotten or not thought of much and see how unfriendly they are.
jplasters 3 years ago
Technically he was a Deist, and I would argue that if he knew what we know today he would have been an atheist. Is that what he thought? I've never seen anything to support that.
And that's faulty logic. Inner cities are often very religious. What ties them all together is a number of socioeconomic problems, not their beliefs. Go into any (ok, many) small town in the bible belt and tell them you think about something differently than they do. Maybe about God/gays/guns. Then look for the love.
