Nice Man from heart, who really care for people,But Americans are selfish to question his commitment, when they themselves didn't helped a single person in their life.
Some mistakes will happens from everybody so did from bill clinton, but just see his initiatives after his term he is still working for poor people.
So if you love humankind ,please dont question his commitment.
He is far far better than Obama, who did nothing than lip service to Katrina victims.
Bill is great, When he was president our country was never better. He is the best president we ever had. I want to thank you Bill for those years. I wish you could run again. God knows we need you. But don't forget, Hillary is great too and we need to stand together and elect her as our next president and get this country back to normal.Hopefully we can fix the divide and mis-trust that the bush family has taught us for years. Bush does not care about anything but bush.
I am not a protectionist and i do think we should help the other Countries around the World, but if the people don't start thinking about the people in this Country than our Democracy is at risk, we need to prioritize!

Good effort, but it's not going to work because his foundational principle is wrong. "The tragedy of poverty is that it breaks the link between effort and reward." Wrong. Poverty is CAUSED by "the link between effort and reward." That concept legitimizes economic equality. Get rid of that "meritocratic" idea and we have no excuse not to END poverty now. Can't do it any other way.
This is an awesome initiative. But it appears to concentrate on Africa. Nevertheless the all parts of the world has areas with suffering people such as Latin America, even in the US or Europe; China,India, people are constantly killing each other in the Middle East; poverty is not merely a problem of Africa. So I hope that we one day can spread the initiatives to all over the world of course including Africa.
At this time in our history, Africa appears to be the weakest link in humanity's progress and sustainability. This link has to be strengthened...besides, the Clinton foundation cannot dissipate its energy trying to solve every single problem in every part of the world...like the popular saying goes, you have to choose your battles...and the foundation has chosen one of the most challenging battles. Bravo to the Clinton Foundation!!
Clinton's talks on the importance of recognizing the interconnectivity of everyone on Earth is so on the mark, it's not even funny. I seriously wish that he was President again...
We won't be able to live in harmony with each other until we learn to live in harmony with ourselves, for how we treat each other is a direct reflection of how we feel about ourselves.
very inpowering video. Can you get it played in the schools and suggest each school create a "team" to inspire others with their donation to your central hub of activity? That would be effective. Bring back school spirit in a new and informed way.
Good question Shirley...what are YOU humans doing for humanity besides posting opinions on You Tube? To quote another awesome president, "To those to whom much is given, much is expected". We who live in the richest nation on earth must help those who don't. My meager contribution to this mandate is teaching 120 multi-racial middle-schoolers every day. It's the "hardest job I've ever loved" but I want to give back some of what I've received.
Bill is a real leader. I support what he's doing. He's an inspiring speaker and his cause is honest and noble. How can any decent human not want to help this cause? I made a small cash donation and I feel good inside for having done it.
Now thats a REAL leader! He's put his money where his mouth is since leaving Presidency. He made a normal human mistake when in office and thats the sort of leaders I want. BILL IS REAL AND CARING, NOW THINK OF BUSH.. Says it all..
heres the problem - ignorant people who go out and add another mouth to feed without thinking about the human need thats on the way and then cry about it later. If any unwanted children are given a good loving home - what does it matter. Thats one less angry lacking soul in the world who will want to lash out and create acts of violence in the name of any fanatical cause. Get a grip!!
it's better to start from the inside out raher than the outside in. we still have issues overhere, fix-em first before jumping overseas. so hard for you clinton to believe 'cause you'll never be down to earth like most of the peaple = you'll never gonna get it, a good thing ? you're still way better than bush, way better!
Bill could have left out the pretentious world domination "an American community" projected onto the world statement. Surely semantics but it would be nice if politicians would get off this position of thinking any country is superior to any other, this in itself maybe partly to blame. To Bill's credit this is very progressive for an American mentality.
I love Bill! He also had an international program to eliminate nuclear weapons, which Bush reversed. I've felt so strongly that the world needs to come together and strengthen every country's economies, then we all would have what we need to live happy productive lives, which would then expand all economies enormously and cut crime, etc. The list goes on. End the greed that is holding this world back from making real progress.
Have any of you people been around the world? Do you really think we can live in harmony? Get a grip. Travel the world, maybe you will understand why things seem so bad. Clinton was a great politician. Period. to mayonise- You had more money in your pocket back then. Must not be working.
"When we got organized as a country and we wrote a fairly radical Constitution with a radical Bill of Rights, giving a radical amount of individual freedom to Americans ..." "And so a lot of people say there's too much personal freedom. When personal freedom's being abused, you have to move to limit it." -- President Bill Clinton, 3-22-94, MTV
Before we start changing the world and spreading democracy, we need to fix the problem with our democracy. Start with the election process and the corrupt electronic voting machines. We need to insure Americans that their votes are truly being counted.
Man I miss having a president that actually knew wtf he was doing. Bush is making this country look soo bad. I wish Bill could run again, but if Hillary wins, hopefully Bill can be our proxy president
I've been voting since '84, and he has been the only democrat to win the white house the whole time. Republicans are for themselves and the wealthy. Bill Clinton was everyones president. That's what we need again, someone who wants to be everyones president. I miss that.
Life IS arbitrary and brutal. There shouldn't be a determined connection between effort and reward, and I don't think there is anywhere in the world anyways. The mirage of such conditions is the illusion capitalism stands on which makes it seem so appealing. Chance and circumstance will never be evicted from reality.
Also, Id like to thank George Bush for tanking the American Economy, so now the Canadian Dollar is worth more than the American for the first time in over 30 years. Now I can finally go to an NFL game for cheap!
You believe too much of what you hear and read in the biased media. Take a stand. Do you own research. You'll have a somewhat different opinion. What was it the Bill was good at....give me some specifics.
As usual you liberals are full of ignorance. Have you heard of a document called the Constitution of the United States. Read it before making dumb comments!
i love president cliton he was way better than that thing we have now i think we should listen what he has to say he and al gore have the world in sight not corp greed
I think I can speak for most people when I say our current president is a joke compared to Clinton. I've almost completely forgotten what it's like to hear a true leader speak for America with great articulation and integrity. Listening to him speak so intelligetnly on subjects that matter reminds me that there is hope for America's future.
I was originally not going to vote either dem or rep this coming election, BUT I am beginning to think that it might be wise to vote for HILARY this time, just so that Bill Clinton can be back in a position where he can do the good work he was able to attempt during his presidency. REMEMBER HE BALANCED THE BUDGET! WE ALL HAD MORE MONEY, SOCIETY WAS BECOMING LESS VIOLENT! CRIME WAS DOWN! THERE WAS NO WAR etc etc etc. Okay, so Waco was a blunder, so what. ONE blunder! VOTE CLINTON.
The money spent on weapons in America alone could pay for EVERY social program in the United Nations for 300 years. That's a fact. North Americans are struggling with their own shit. I'd rather see people ask their government to cut so called 'defence' spending, and put it to use in this world that will help us all live in harmony. Only when the suffering is removed from the world will we stand a chance not needing weapons. Cause and effect.
all of you justifying not helping by saying "well we don't help our own people" or "well the problem will never go away" etc are idiots. seriously. idiots. as in low IQs, poor reasoning skills, irrational thought processes. if anyone can post a comment with a REASONABLE argument against 3rd world aid (and there are many), i'll choke.
Get the oxygen out. We have given trillions of dollars in aid to the world. Giving doesn't stop the problem. It just makes them welfare recipients. You need to make it so their own country has the ability to create a better economy. You can't even start without a democratic base.
We have poverty in Oklahoma - homeless, poor, hungry children - I don't want to see poverty anywhere but shouldn't we start here - in the USA. If we paid more for coffee, bananas and other tropicals - instead of having so many addicts paying more for drug plants - maybe the farmers could make more in those countries legally and feed their own children.
What a coward I am for sitting in my large house watching my large TV and pretending like I am powerless to help those who I have indirectly exploited. No more, my life needs meaning, I will cure my indifference and find my soul. Live and Love.
What your saying all makes perfect sense and is very good. However the last 3000 years has been filled with poverty, war, this and that. One man cant fix it all. Besides, us Americans are to selfish and stupid to fix anything. Its good you fix some of the world. Its better then nothing. But in the grand scale of the globe we are all fucked, and we will all forever be fucked because there will always be that bad apple in the group. That apple tends to rot the other apples.
I would first like to point out a couple of things. Presidents only make policies. Congress is were the real decision making is. Yes, Clinton was a Ok pres. The economic upturn during his presidency has more to do with timing. The economy cycles on about a 8 year term between high and low point. Thats why there was an eco. downturn at the begining of Bush's term in 2001, and a upturn for Clinton's presidency. They're both half way decent people, so can't we just give it a rest?
Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter were the best president's who headed the oval office and Al Gore would have been a great president had the Republicans not cheated with the electronic voting when he was running against Bush Jr.
there are thousands still homeless from katrina, every day there are homeless people around dying in OUR country. but what does mr smarty pants clinton think we should do? ok lets focus on another country other than ours. who cares if we die, lest just help AFRICA!!! good job clinton .
He already had the plan in place for Africa before Katrina happened... Also check your facts... he was an instrumental part in raising funds for the restoration of louisanna after Katrina. This man rocks!!!
Silly youtube, I just tried to rate the video, but my mouse slid over the second star rating. If i could do it again, I'd give this video five stars. I especially like the beginning, the impoverished workers serve as a great hook for the video!
Gore is not telling you what to do. He is only telling you the facts on the global warming that almost all scientists agreed upon. If you disagree with his facts refute them. But how he lives his life should not discourage you to fight global warming. Should I ignore my doctor's warning against smoking because he himself smokes?
Look beyond the Political Parties, and focus on what the organization is about. I believe to build a better future we all must unite as equals and definitely solve "One action at a time".
What a bunch of fools. Here is a great man try n to help people. Either Dem or Gop no matter people stop fight n and see the message from Bill. God Bless You Bill and Thankyou.
He has been doing great work for the world after his presidency, even before his wife decided to run. Some people have commented that we should worry about poverty in America first. Well, do you know where clinton decided to build his headquarters? Harlem. Because it brought money to that area and helped everyone living there.
The most awesome president in the last hundred years or more. I'm voting for his wife. Why? Because they really do wish to build a bridge to tomorrow.
clinton is the only president that worries about the world poverty... bush worries about oil... damn president clinton why could'nt you run for a third time????
The future of the next generations is our responability and ideas like this one have to be embrace by us even if we like Clinton or not......but remember: "nothing can be worst than G. W. Bush"
Its a great message reguardless of political party. Food and medicine is something the more fortunate should help with the less fortunate no matter the location.
Why are they worrying about other countries? people in our country are poor because they choose to be poor. A person for India, Africa, China would sell their soul to the devil to come to America, plus people our country are not dieing on the side of the road like animals because of hunger.
no american in this country has an excuse to every be involved in crimes, poverty, and disease. we have resoures that can help up out of out messes. americans have opportunities. africans do not. myany countries in africa have corrupt govts or they may not have programs avail. to help themselves. so yes we should help them.
I wonder if world leaders know how bad it is going in South-Africa? Last year alone 20,000+ people lost their lives due to violent crime in South-Africa, thousands upon thousands of women were raped in South-Africa last year! It is not going well in South-Africa at all! I fled South-Africa with my family because of the above. Apartheid sucked but the New Bloody South-Africa is a nightmare

True, he was registered as a Democrat, but he was a Conservative Democrat from a Southern State who in terms of his policies was closest to Eisenhower (a Republican).

Cause and effect.

all of you justifying not helping by saying "well we don't help our own people" or "well the problem will never go away" etc are idiots. seriously. idiots. as in low IQs, poor reasoning skills, irrational thought processes. if anyone can post a comment with a REASONABLE argument against 3rd world aid (and there are many), i'll choke.
senguidanos 4 years ago 4
Get the oxygen out. We have given trillions of dollars in aid to the world. Giving doesn't stop the problem. It just makes them welfare recipients. You need to make it so their own country has the ability to create a better economy. You can't even start without a democratic base.
firejack007 4 years ago
Since 1989, most countries have turned to Democracy, their economies have grown (even Mexico's) and they are better off.

Gore is not telling you what to do. He is only telling you the facts on the global warming that almost all scientists agreed upon. If you disagree with his facts refute them. But how he lives his life should not discourage you to fight global warming. Should I ignore my doctor's warning against smoking because he himself smokes?

He has been doing great work for the world after his presidency, even before his wife decided to run. Some people have commented that we should worry about poverty in America first. Well, do you know where clinton decided to build his headquarters? Harlem. Because it brought money to that area and helped everyone living there.
