Wow... Nice TERRIBLE Goatee. It looks like you may have some scarring preventing it from growing in properly, but you should know better. You look like a serious Douche. Oh - And as far as legit thoughts on the performance: You guys are bad singers. Leave that to Da Vinci's Notebook please.
hmm, you guys do realize that if you were in a choir contest, which without the beat in the background, you basically are. If you were being judged you would have gotten some of the most awful ranks. Also " still goin" for when he holds the note out is just for bob and tom to laugh their asses off. If you werent so flat you would be much better, i do think its a good video though. Just the singing needs more effort
The idea of doing something that's hard, doing a poor job of it, and then saying, "yeah, but it was hard!" doesn't really fly with me. But I applaud them for the time they put into it.
Oh dear... I think it's a really great effort, and I applaud these guys for taking so much time to make and edit this video and learn the music (cause really, it must have taken a ton of time)... but oh, there are some issues with singing the right pitches.
I think you are missing the point. This is a fan video. What you're saying is like, "The Beatles did a better version of 'Come Together' than my High School Marching Band."
Of course DVN's version is way better, they are the professionals and the originals.
The harmonies are sometimes a bit off, BIG DEAL! The visuals are amazingly well crafted, choreographed and edited, especially for a fan video! Bravo Eric Bramlett and Community Christian Church! Now do "The Captain's Wife's Lament!"
lol i really don't think he was serious, he was just making a joke.
and as for the video, although it's not the best version of the song, props to these guys for taking the time and effort to sing along and make this video!
I don't think so... "Pretentious" is a perfectly normal word. No reason not to use it if whoever's writing it thinks it's appropriate. Whether it was appropriate up for debate, of course :-P
Also, did anybody catch the rearrangement? The best joke in this song is "Modulation and I hold a high note," because it's so stylistically typical. (When I first heard the song, that line had me hysterical on the floor.)
In this recording, though, they DON'T MODULATE!! Whose idea was that!?
Urgh, yeah, I skipped to that section cause I didn't want to listen to the whole thing... it seems to me that a couple of them modulated, and the other two didn't. Which is why the chords suddenly are really really wrong... D:
ehh... it was a fair performance... its true, Da Vinci's Notebook is probably the best recording/ performance of the song and everyone else wont be able to deliver the same way....
... but with these guys... it was ehh... "its called RHYTHM"... and it lacked a solid bass part... but overall okay
For those of you saying this is brilliant, I don't think you know the original group. This song is by Da Vinci's notebook, and they do a *much* better job at this, which isn't surprising, because it is their song. This group copied them, even down to the hand motions the lead does on "turn back time" and "reptition of the title of the song".
I agree, these guys are off key. I mean, I'm not against people doing covers, especially since they credited the original, but this isn't good singing.
I kno ur like "not spose to do this" but my group performed this song for an annual cabaret - we didn't look as cool (debatable) but we got some vocal talents that make mere humans cry. check it out.
I thought this was going to be Da Vinci's Notebook... not Da VinIamwayoutoftune Notanyabilitytosing... I almost thought my ears would stop working... The original song is great... and I think your idea is great, but please don't do anymore unless you learn to sing!
Complaint about how the singer ruined davinci's notebook's song with his bad voice.

these guys are not actually da vinci's notebook. . . which explains why the severe lack of talent/pitch/ears/musicality
halfbrit91 3 years ago 2
Dude, I am pretty sure they are just lip singing to the original MP3. You just insulted DVN. Smooth.
Menchi970 3 years ago
Dude, I'm pretty sure if you had any talent/pitch/ears/musicality you'd realise they are so not lip singing to the original!
They sing flat, out of rhythm and don't modulate at the modulation.
So actually you just insulted DVN for thinking they sound this bad. Smooth.

all of you pretentious losers who keep saying they're flat - relax! this song isn't about the quality of music, it's the lyrics.

That's a great song...when done by Da Vinci's Notebook. This group just has a multitude of out of tune chords.
Razela 4 years ago
do you guys not get that it was meant to be like that? they were taking a shot at boybands, therefore the exaggerated high, out-of-tune notes.
rafaswife 5 years ago
No, the original is a parody of boy bands, but it doesn't hurt your ears to listen to it.
