I saw this video the day you uploaded it, and immediately listened to a bunch of Awolnation songs. Unfortunately, I got distracted by a couple other bands. Almost half a year later, I suddenly remember this video. I now resolve to not forget about this band. This song is really sad and actually has parallels to my life today. You see, a couple of months ago my mother came into my house as I was listening to this song and she tapped me on my shoulder. I wasn't really paying attention but she grabbed the headphones off my head and said slowly, "Your father will be late today."

I suddenly realized that I was hungry and asked if she could make a sandwich.... she didn't.

This has been one of the saddest moments in my life yet this song really helps me.

I love how this song, especially when paired with this video, shows that the song isn't about literally killing your heroes, but rather it's about how we all need to break off from what's been done before. You can still have your heroes and look up to them, but at one point you should move past the stage of pure idolization and use the values they taught you to surpass even them, and in a sense, your heroes become "dead" to you.

I especially liked how you did the scene transitions one part at a time along with the beat.
