"I guess I'll never know the reason why you love me as you do." i first heard him when he sang in Jailhouse Rock; 'cool' belted me in the mouth. my wife and i saw him in concert in 1975 and he did not disappoint! perhaps if Elvis could have seen and heard himself as we did, he would have known "why we loved him as we do". thanks, Elvis.

I am not an Elvis fan. I think much of his recorded work is bland and lifeless. But as alive performer he is one of the best. His work does come to life and you hear a different singer. I recently saw a documentary about how much his manage fu*ked up Elvis' career. Too many films and his refusal to allow Elvis to play in England? Why? Because the Colonel was an illegal immigrant.
