Though dogs and humans have their similarities we are not alike. The belief that we are the same is part of why dogs are becoming so messed up. Humanizing a dog takes away their identity, dignity and keeps them from receiving their needs.
@ProphetGuardian I'm sure when you say humanize, you mean people who act like their dogs are born to be programmed to understand everything humans want it to do. There's nothing with humanizing a dog long as you understand that.

she also often seems to be here and their on beliefs in her training..in the beginning of her show she was 100 percent against the idea of the dogs needing leadership figures bc she rfered to it as dominance and she was against that..in many of her shows you can clearly hear her tell the owners that they are lacking any leadership skills and thats what the dogs are craving.i still watch her show as well as the dog whisperer whenever i can catch it
its weird..i feel that her heart and passion for dogs is where it needs to be and true, however i feel that she falls too much into a follower position of just going with what methods seem to be working with the times..unfortunately that usually means methods that are going to please the owners more than actually address the dogs issues. If she focused more on addressing the issues at hand and not masking the issues, i think shed be great
We started are pup at 5 weeks, don't get on me about the age she lost her mother at 2 days old, and we got her at 4or5 weeks old because someone lied about her age anyway she had about 3 accidents in the house and she is 9 months now knows all the basic and also we are training her for search and rescue cause she is great at it.
Anyway love Victoria Stilwell she has a lot of good training ideas.
