I have to say a few things I like a lot of your standpoints but you forgot someone. MARIO WILLIAMS of the Houston Texans. In the 2007 season he racked up 14 sacks. HE is one of the fastest and strongest d-end in the league. His technique is superb as well. He should be your most underrated.
Umenyiora, Strahan, Peppers, Kampmann, all those guys, excellent players.
Bottom line, there is no perfect defensive end. None in the league can do both enough to be a factor.
And on a side note, the only reason Freeney doesn't get 23 sacks a season is because he draws double and maybe even triple teams from just about every guard and tackle and sometimes center in the NFL.

Great motor strong guy who really was the spark plug for the titans along wit albert haynesworth who technically would be a 3-4 end with a team like new england or cleveland( who will make the playoffs this year) there ends are both 4-3 tackles. But anyways yeah Vanden Bosch is a great player and is very under rated

Derrick Burgess 27 sacks in 32 games.
Leonard Little 22.5 sacks in 32 games.
Burgess deserves a mention as a pass rush specialist who is solid to good against the run.

Freeney overrated??? What are you talkin about? he has to deal with double often triple teams as he always commands at least the running back helping out! Just look what happened when he didnt get double teamed, against Cinci this year, look at his stats from that game!

Lmao Peppers? His days ended when they lost to the patriots in the super bowl. Yea the whole Colts d-line is small and quick, thats why they were ranked 32 against the run last year. So of course Freeney is going to spin and stuff, hes gonna use what he has to his advantage. And of course my favorites are none other than Osi and Michael.

hey...nice breakdown...i also think that julius peppers is the best end...i am a pnathers fan, and i believe that if we still had jack del rio as our d. coordinator, JP would have about 70 sack in his career so far...the man is a freak, and i would rate him over jason talor, because jason plays in a 3-4 defense and often times he is lined up at OLB...JP is much bigger that Jason, and a little faster...Jason- about 260lbs (4.7 40), JP-290lbs (4.6 40)...keep a eye on him this season man...
