No possible way Mariah compares at all to Whitney. Whitney was in a league so far above Mariah, it's ridiculous to even talk about it. Sorry, Mariah fans. I wouldn't feel compelled to make the comment except that people have had the gall to make the comparison.
Not a fan of either of them but not sure what you on about... If you speak about their hit songs thats very subjective, varies depending on people liking. Technically speaking both W. Houston and M. Carey have/had 5 octave vocals (and only them from pop singers, Beyonce 3.5 octave, Aguilera 4 octave range is second best) so they are very similar to each other but Mariah can hit higher notes than Whitney for your information.

This would have to be the worst version I have ever heard. She sings in a lower key because she cant hit and hold the high notes and she dances around the melody because she cant hold a tune. Nice tits though.

technically speaking Beyonce has weaker vocal than Christina Aguilera and both of them have weaker than Carey/Houston. Aprox 3.5 octave on Beyonce, full 4 octave on Aguilera and 5 full octave on both Carey and Houston and only them between all pop singers.
