I'm building a gaming pc at the moment for high resolution gaming. But I don't know anything of motherboards so could someone help me with this?

I'm goin te take a AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black edition at 3.2GHz, which moherboard goes with this one.

whats your motherboard,did you read the manual,did you google at least 3 to 5 sites to gain knowledge about the cpu and its heat,voltage and wattage requirements?

im thinking of buying this motherboard. basically i build a pc every 3 years so i get rusty on whats out there bcoz after i build my pc i dont care whats coming out bcoz im sorted for the next 3 years imo. now what i would like to know is if any1s bought this mobo if you can remove the bracket that holds the cpu cooler. i am intending to install a koolance liquid cooling system onit and for that the bracket needs to come off. and your opinons on its performance would be nice too. thankyou.

If you're going to buy this motherboard make sure you either have a Phenom II AM3 Socket or The AM2+ Version. There is 2 versions of this motherboard

No, this looked rather as if the i7 would work more slowly than its predecessor C2Q.

I recommend other benchmark times by other media to the Internet, then you'll see maybe the i7 some programs dual or quad-core optimized are not much better run than the Phenom1.

Sounds nice. Although right now I currently prefer Intel I'd like to see AMD really get up there and compete all CPU Ranges with Intel. Looking forward to what theses AM3's can do.

A bit unfair. Am I not supposed to like this mobo just because I work for AMD? I had a great experience with this mobo's predecessor, the M3A79 and built one sick system with it over the holidays. Skeleton chassis, Phenom II, Radeon 4870X2, 1.5TB HDD, 4Gigs RAM, BD, Logitech illumninated keyboard.
