This video is nonsense. I've been on finasteride for 2 years now and haven't had any side effects. Reading stuff like this worries me, but then i look at things like the twins and can see that it actually works.

The newsbeat article is based on one persons experience. While i understand that a few people may get bad side effects, it seems to be a very small percentage.

@DaiJabu82 fin has worked great for me too. And no, Im don't work for Merck. In fact I get generic 5mg finasteride. So if anything I take money away from Merck. All I'm saying is that fin is an effective drug with almost no downside.

Funnily enough the only two drugs that stopped my dick from responding properly were Citalopram and Amitryptiline. @yodudewassp Dude, Avodart (Dutasteride) does the same thing as Propecia (inhibits 5-alpha-reductase), and it's a more potent drug. You're an idiot if you think Avodart is safe but Propecia isn't, because it's actually even more dangerous. Of the two, Propecia is clearly the safer alternative.

Okay, I've been on Propecia for a light case of hair loss for two weeks and after seeing this I am VERY, VERY SCARED. Sure, I read about the side effect of decreased sexual drive and weaker erections, but I was told it only happened in like 2% of men. But PENIS SHRINKING? Be honest and completely non-objective, how many people does this happen to?

I came to the same conclusion a while ago. I've been using Revivogen, Rogaine, Biotin 3mg with zinc, nizoral shampoo, healthy diet and exercise for a while now. I will cautiously say I think that might be doing the trick.

Yeah, good choice man. Did you try the Nioxin system at all or hear anything good or bad about that? That's what I'm trying out right now, wondering if it's any good...although hair is the lesser of my problems.

I haven't tried Nioxin, no. I'm in the very early stages of hair loss. I figured out it was happening really early by way of a fortunate accident, so I've been using products that are not really designed for heavy hair loss. Revivogen, for example, is said to work best on people who have light hair loss or are in the very early stages of it, so that fits me perfectly. I will say this though, I checked out the Nioxin web site and they seem to have a *very* wide variety of products.

Yeah, I'm still in the fairly early stages as well...definitely isn't going to be long though before I'm half bald if I dont act soon. But ya, I was doing more reading up on both Nioxin and Revivogen, and I've come to the conclusion that Revivogen is the better way to go. Well, good luck to you, but there's something you should know even if you don't particularly want to hear it. If you go bald, that's okay. I was surprised to learn how many women find the bald look attractive. It has a certain manliness about it that turn a lot of women on--smoking hot women, for that matter. So if you can save your hair, that's awesome, but if you lose it, it's not the end of the world by any means.

I'd already resigned to the fact that I was going bald actually, and was gonna just try Nioxin and if that didn't work just shave my head, but you've reinspired me to attempt to save my hair, haha. But seriously, hair is nice to have, and it can hurt your confidence maybe to be losing it, but when you get a real health problem, e.g., sexual side effects from Propecia that arent going away months after stopping, you realize how little your hair really matters.

Finasteride had zero effect whatsoever , its fuckin thrash. Messing with hormones is never a good idea , i was foolish. Dht is usefull in a body . its not useless like all those fuckin doctors claim. @dareheaven2 Hair transplant really isn't a good option either. In fact you'll probably end up having to take propecia anyway to keep your original hairs from receding behind the transplanted hairs. I haven't read many success stories with transplants. And if they screw it up you won't even be able to shave your head bald because of the scarring.

Really, the only healthy options are a hair system or shaving your head bald. Drugs and surgery are not the answer.
