well ive only been riding since march.. it is only seven months and ive only have like 20 lessons and im jumping already.. im even leasung a horse.. its not how lon youve been riding its how much you know..

Good vid and beautiful horses! But I have to say that it was not a wise move for your instructor to let beginners jump. You should have a pretty good handle on your flatwork before jumping for your own safety. Lol 3 lessons is not near enough time to get comfortable and a good handle on flatwork! Don't rush things just take it slow you won't regret it
you did a reat job and the veo !!!!! :) but , ive been riding for a long time and your sister is not ready to theach you .. she still needs to work on the right 2 point and 2ndly u dont need to jump i no it was fun but you cant post or 2 point right !
to be a true horseman, you have to fall off at least 10 times! :D haha great video. definitely get more basics and position before jumping too much. dont stand up so much. its more of just slightly out of saddle and moving your hips. I've been riding for 3 years and i only jump every once in a while bc of my position. I'll be show jumping next year. but good job!!!

i love chances coat it looks really clean and joey is very preety ur very lucky im just givin u and ur sis tips ive been ridin 4 8 yrs and not being mean just dont rise 2 far out of the saddle when in risin trot and dont lean 2 far forward b4 the jump and hold onto the mane not his mouth coz he will refuse if u hold onto his mouth but u r still a great rider just a few tips

Hey not to be a bother or anything but you really shouldn't be jumping on only your 3rd riding lesson. It is totally unsafe for you. I just hate to think of a beginner rider getting hurt just because of a trainers bad judgement. Of course I can't stop you so just be sure to be carful about it!
i have NEVER in my life had lessons well i took lessons on jumping but i never got to jump i only did like 3 lessons only for 1 hour and it was 30$ a lesson and they made me start at basics so it was a wast of money so i quit and taught my self how to jump i agree with everyone eles on the posistion in the sturrup but your doing very good for your 3rd time love the horses!
Also I learnt the hard way why not to jump before your horse does! I saw that you had the exact same problem as me hen I first started too. You go into your jumping position before your horse actualy jumps. If he were to suddenly stop, like one of my horses did, you jump the jump, but your horse doesn't xD Also as you get to bigger jumps, your forward motion as the horse begins his jump will help him get over in one peice! :) Hope you have alot more fun riding! :)
That looked like a lot of fun, hope you persist with your riding over the years! Just a few tips, I noticed that you are standing in the stirrup when you are jumping, next time you ride try and, instead of standing, bending at the waist and sligtly moving our hands forward to allow your horse to use his neck which will prove very important as you get to jumping bigger jumps :)

You Are Clearly A Capably Rider, And Talented, But Try Not To Do Such A Big 2-Point Over Smaller Jumps. You Are Really Good, I Didn't Start Jumping Till My 5th Lesson.
hey nah i dissagree.... i think u are doing fine, u need a bit more parctise and you will be really good, i mean it i find it hard 2 fold when going over small jumps- becaus the horse doesnt go hight enough but do ur best becuase when u get on to bigger ones ur position will be better! well done :)
ya i agree with skysoarer234... don't really need to get in your toport so high for such a small jump.. and i noticed that when you went into the 2-point that you grabbed your horses neck....i would recomend you not do that. just trying to help. otherwise the video was ok. i've seen better.. no hard feelings.
small advice(not being nasty AT ALL) when you have a jump as short as you had you dont need to get in to your half seat so high but HOLY CRAP!!!! you are doing amazing in such little time!!!! GREAT JOB!
Wow you did jumping on your third lesson? I didn't jump until i had a strong solid seat at the canter, but make sure your careful. Try to practice putting your hands up the horses neck a bit higher but when u get some speed at the canter you'll start to be more fluid and act as one. =] good job!
um yeah actually u do have another place to put your hands if u have leg muscle then u can hold yourself up and put ur hands up so u dont break your wrist or your arm

its called a cavaletti and it is a jump! you actually dont have to be in 2 pt. until the jump is 1 1/2- 2 ft! so whatever the horse can step over it but its still called a jump!

I am 24, hav been riding for 20 years. i am a teacher and a competitor in many dressage, jumping and cross country competitions so that 11 year old mustnt come here with her know-it-all nonsense. my cousin leases a horse and im her horsebackriding teacher im only 11 but ive already had 2 horses ( Magic and Blackjack) and ive been in 12 shows so i know what im talking about and that wasnt a jump you showd in the begginning.But Good Job for your first lesson!!!
cool vid, im just starting english to!! lol but its a lil harder for me cuz im training my orse to do english as well, i have been riding wesrtern since about december lol but i have a great horse, i named him Aspen and he is a barrel racer/ roper, i amalread galloping across my pasture bareback!! :D :D lol i can do it with a saddle to but thats a lil to easy hahaha
She's been riding for about a year, but not english, she's capable of jumping and Joey is the best lesson horse out there. He's teaching her quite nicley.

I will only give an advise... you should not lay forward so nearly before the jump (not jumping before the horse), stay longer in the saddle in the other case you will surely fall off when your horse refuses... sorry for my poor english
i personally thought you did fantastic. i've ridin on harley for a few months and i still havent jumped but i have been riding english all those months! fantastic job! even if the horse just trotted over the jump you did very very well. good luck!
I thought she did really well for her third lesson. 0oHaflingero0 needs to back off. I have been riding for six years and I didn't see anything that could cause issues for the horses. P.S. Chance was a really pritty horse!

But I would give this one little edivce I saw both of you do it. Wait intell you fell the horse lifting off the ground before the half seat.That will help him stay balanced. haha..the reason was because one, she didn't have the boots...I did for my lessons, then I had a really bad fall and tought her the next day and HAD to ride so I hopped on and rode...not all people are "rich" you know.
Great job! I have been riding for 6 or 7 months and I still haven't jumped. The other two people in my group lessons have been riding for the same amount of time and can jump beautifully. Is there a difference in jumping english and in jumping western? By the way, I'm not terrible at riding, either, so I know that's not why I never learned :).
normally it would not be safe but since its not her 3 time ever riding its not really a big deal plus joey trotted over it so its not like hes dangerous...
theres a difference between being carried over the jump and having the expeience to do it well and assist the horse. once you've mastered the basics theres then learning about impulsion, collection and roundness! western amd english are really different and this girl did really well!

its called a cavaletti and it is a jump! you actually dont have to be in 2 pt. until the jump is 1 1/2- 2 ft! so whatever the horse can step over it but its still called a jump!

People...give the chick a break! Jump or no jump, well done for ur third lesson. U hav good posture and tons of potential. I am 24, hav been riding for 20 years. i am a teacher and a competitor in many dressage, jumping and cross country competitions so that 11 year old mustnt come here with her know-it-all nonsense. If she is 11 and trying to teach she cant be doing too good of job....

my cousin leases a horse and im her horsebackriding teacher im only 11 but ive already had 2 horses ( Magic and Blackjack) and ive been in 12 shows so i know what im talking about and that wasnt a jump you showd in the begginning.But Good Job for your first lesson!!!

cool vid, im just starting english to!! lol but its a lil harder for me cuz im training my orse to do english as well, i have been riding wesrtern since about december lol but i have a great horse, i named him Aspen and he is a barrel racer/ roper, i amalread galloping across my pasture bareback!! :D :D lol i can do it with a saddle to but thats a lil to easy hahaha

She's been riding for about a year, but not english, she's capable of jumping and Joey is the best lesson horse out there. He's teaching her quite nicley.

I will only give an advise... you should not lay forward so nearly before the jump (not jumping before the horse), stay longer in the saddle in the other case you will surely fall off when your horse refuses... sorry for my poor english

I thought she did really well for her third lesson. 0oHaflingero0 needs to back off. I have been riding for six years and I didn't see anything that could cause issues for the horses. P.S. Chance was a really pritty horse!

She's a good friend of mine, and we're (hopefully) going to ride together, and I'm probably going to jump on my first lesson. Ok I'm not going to " critize" your guys riding. But I would never ride in sneakers!I have been riding the last 12 years of my life. If you two want to teach other go ahead. But I would give this one little edivce I saw both of you do it. Wait intell you fell the horse lifting off the ground before the half seat.That will help him stay balanced. Good jump for your frist time thought.

haha..the reason was because one, she didn't have the boots...I did for my lessons, then I had a really bad fall and tought her the next day and HAD to ride so I hopped on and rode...not all people are "rich" you know.

Great job! I have been riding for 6 or 7 months and I still haven't jumped. The other two people in my group lessons have been riding for the same amount of time and can jump beautifully. Is there a difference in jumping english and in jumping western? By the way, I'm not terrible at riding, either, so I know that's not why I never learned :).

theres a difference between being carried over the jump and having the expeience to do it well and assist the horse. once you've mastered the basics theres then learning about impulsion, collection and roundness! western amd english are really different and this girl did really well!
