It is very easy to see that the merchant is infected with the losplagos. THAT DOES NOT MAKE HIM A ZOMBIE! It is possible that the los plagos mutated just like the T-Virus mutated in nemesis and alice.

Mercier's just good enough to make both characters sound completely different. :)

Well Sheva is independent and strong willed. Ashley is RE4 was very annoying and stupid. Her "help me Leon!" got on ones nerves.

I played the original RE first. From RE4 onward the emphasis is more on action than on survival horror, sort of a pity. Besides from RE4 onward there aren't any zombies infected by the T-virus but ordinary people which have a parasite in them called Las Plagas in RE4 and Uroboros in RE5.

Besides I find the general atmosphere in RE4, the characters and story a lot better than the one in RE5.

I also liked how the villains Salazar and Saddler talked to you on the intercom and you got a great deal of their twisted personalities.

A lot of what we saw in RE5 was just re-used characters, like the Giant, Chainsaw man and Gatling gun wielding brutes. Besides the regenerators in RE4 were more scary than anything in RE5.
