That looks like it took place inside the church building. The Fire for the vigil I attended was outside the building.

Yes, for the 15 years or so that I've gone to the Vigil, it's always been done inside. And I've viewed some on the this site on the outside. Are you in a "warm" area? Easter this year was colder than Christmas a few months ago. We actually were getting snow. The possibility of colder weather might also have something to do with it perhaps. When it's done outside, does the whole congregation also stand outside or just a few certain key participants?

No, this was in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. It was colder for Easter than for Christmas here as well.
