I couldn't discern a "song from the church" - upon whose Te Deum was this rendering based? - Seriously - that wasn't a criticism - I'd love to know! Maybe it's cultural - I'm British so I only know the Te Deum to Anglican (and Latin) Chant.

Ce que je veux te faire comprendre, quand quelqu'un prend la peine d'apprendre une chanson quelconque et de la jouer, ça veux dire que cette personne aime cette chanson et en signifie son amour à sa manière.
Et je voudrait te rappelé qu'il y as des bands chrétien de tout genre de métal-rock

Je comprend très bien ton coté puriste et je respecte ça, ça prend des puristes dans ce monde! (moi même j'en suis un pour certaines choses)
