@DcupFTW I thought when they brought him back for against Buu he was still dead. He had gotten his body but not really alive. Was limited time and power up too because of that if I remember correctly. He was wearing the halo in the episode where goku fights as SS3. With him having limited time he was sent back to the "other" world. This may be where this video basically starts perhaps. So he was really actually dead. Hope that helps.

@konm2uzumaki It's hard to place DBZ movies in Anime/Manga DBZ continuity because they contain many "holes" in their plots (like DcupFTW mentioned with Goku being dead instead of alive) so you really can't. Some parts of the movie seem to fit in the main timeline but other little "differences" are present. I don't tend to try "fitting" these movies, I just watch them. Anyway, thanks for the upload this is one of my favs!

@konm2uzumaki Well i guess this takes place outside of the story line but has a relationship but not a direct relationship. This movie is sorta like a sneak peek to the buu saga since it introduces SSJ3 and Gogeta/vegito, and the fact that vegeta dies.

@konm2uzumaki The creator of Dragon Ball Z, Akira Toriyama, had nothing to do with these films. Toei made them while the show was running mid-saga without knowing how they ended (DBZ was translated from manga to television, so they had no input on the manga). This would have been made while Goku was still dead in the middle of the Buu saga. I'm guessing a little after the Gotenks fusion.

All the films are non-canon except The Dead Zone.
