  • one of my fav songs on this amazing album...just the best!

  • Too bad music ended in the 90's.

  • @unchboy ..... yeah <=( what a shame. now its all this kanye west, lady gaga, justin bieber shit........ truly sadneing to see how much can be changed in 11 years. ....... im miss the 90's.

  • 1st year high ya'll! 1993 it is, those were the days of great music. fuck modern music, how the fuck would someone on their right mind idolize Lady gogo and Justin beaver. such a shame. MUSIC IS DEAD

  • WHERE THE FUCK DOES THIS KIND OF MUSIC GO?!!!!!

  • Sadly, It was left in the 90's. Only if i could go back.

  • this really fuckin takes me back

  • Fucking fantastic song by the way.

  • @themusicmatterz i feel exactly the same way except more than just a bit sad...i can listen to it over and over sometimes. It soothes me.

  • @themusicmatterz I feel exactly the same way....but i'm more than a bit sad...

  • @EidSeimmoc Can i shoot YOU in the head? You narrow-minded, unenlightended dick. Bringing in terms like "liberal cunt" just reeks of ignorance.

  • @xXdEaThSeQuEnCeXx lol you said unenlightended while your ripping on some troll for being ignorant. :) dude this is 2011 and you are on a computer. before you rip into someone for being ignorant and myopic use spellcheck mutha fucka:) lolz

Just did get laid last night. :) And I'm gonna be calling my girl in a minute and maybe get laid again tonight. but that has nothing to do with what i was saying. Wasn't talking shit, didn't even say i disagreed with you(because i don't. Calling someone a liberal cunt is ignorant as hell), just was saying spellcheck your shit if you're going to call someone stupid.

  • 2 people have mayonnaise in their eyes.

  • @DH1234561 You mean in their ears? Deuche

  • words cant describe...classic

  • the chorus to this song reminds my of another song but i cant remember what song and who its by....help me out here! caponerip1947@comcast.net

  • @themusicmatterz I would argue that a different perspective could heal an incorrect perspective, so you are right no matter what :)

  • @EidSeimmoc You suck man, you don't know this guy and you base all this shit off him talking about weed. what's wrong with that?

  • @themusicmatterz Nostalgic, does this song do that to everyone? It does it to me. And also, you almost perfectly described my mood.

  • Just beautiful. Frig sakes... children, keep real music alive please. I wanted to use profanity but it felt wrong.

  • No weed brotha. That's Bipolar disorder talkin. Lol

  • free replay button------> 0:00

  • @arrowsandfire awesome :)

  • :)

  • @themusicmatterz dont give up

  • this album brings back great memories for me to, i was in the army around the time this album came out stationed in germany in mid to late 90s

  • SP > Nirvana

  • Does anyone know why it was called Mayonaise? I love this song :]

  • @Bellatrix585 Apparently Billy couldn't didn't have a name for the song, so he just looked in his fridge and named it after the first thing he saw.

  • ba da da ba da da ba da ba da waaaaa taaa in waaa bing wing ding dooooo da da da ting sings solo to self

  • Used to smoke a few spliffs to this cd back around 93 or so. Was in high school then.

Ended up going to the Army and shit. Now I'm at a civilian job. Married with kids now, but it seems like yesterday for some reason. Life kinda flew by.

Must be a Generation X thing, lol.

  • this song and this music BRINGS back gr8 memories....it was the only time I was happy...

  • This is one of those songs that never get tiring......even after 78,657 views.

  • i LOVE THIS WHOLE ALBUM...IT REMINDS ME OF DARK TIMES. ONE OF MY FAVS!

  • One of their best songs.

  • but when I can, EErrEEeN I will

  • The song of my life!!

  • back in the time siamese dream's booklet had become what the coran means to a muslim

  • This tune is a very good tune. It is one of the popular tunes in the person who knows The Smashing Pumpkins also in Japan.

  • I listened to this whole disc everyday for 10 years and it's as great now as the day it was released. My daughter was in Uetero when her mother and I saw this tour and she loves it and I remind her that was the first concert she ever went to...

  • Simply Amazing.... I sat in front of William, James, D'arcy and Jimmy at Seven different ocassions...and I even once heard the brodcast of a show here somewhere in Sunset Blvd...through a nokia cellphone...

Just something that I carry with me... simply absurdly amazing.

I want to be this song forever.

  • Tim Sack....... From NJ I miss you!

  • Mother need you..years gone missing.. all the time can't be given back.. shut my mouth and strike the demon.. curse you and your reason..outta here and out of reaons.. I'm in love without a feeling..soooo..anybody hear me..i just want to be meee... for 18 years ...and its still the best SP song for me...wohooooo.

  • @dneffa you got the lyrics all wrong bro

  • @soxruleall my bad dude.........how come its hard to hear em play this song in concert?

  • Nostalgic, thinking about a time when life reflected angst, melancholy and alienation. This song come out and was/is a perfect reflection.

  • One of my favorite Pumpkins songs, although I think Rhinoceros will always be my favorite!

  • Can anybody hear me?

I just want to beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee me!!!

  • I was I grade Ten when this album came out.....This album define's my whole high school career. I discovered SP one night when a friend and I were on alot of acid and the video for cherub rock came on.. needless to say best video EVER, and I've been a fan ever since!!. rock on Billy!, good luck with Jess Simpson.

  • @lockutothepole haha, nice story- but isn't he with Jessica from 'the Veronicas' now?

  • Is beatiful, to heard something that means so much for you

  • wat a killer melnaoclic song ,

damn, great album and they dont play this one at their present concerts?wat a crap!

  • this reminds me of the good old days 93 was a good year 4 me peace love and respect to everybody who loves this album very hard to find these days x

  • Teen dudes please spare us the mention of pop/commercial phenomena, i doesn't make you cool to bash em, yes we know that you weren't there when this kinda music was created and we understand your "prenatal" nostalgia but really if you feel like bashing those guys go do that on channels where they're the subject, oh and one last thing don't help make those kinda comments become highest rated.

    Thank you for your attention.

    End of rant

  • @Defsolid thank you.

the bandwagoning gets old. even if i am one of those people, but i dont comment on every video like they do, even if im 15, i'd rather just enjoy the album. whole albums, not just picked apart songs from an album that you can put on an ipod an enjoy on the way to school. /rant?

  • Its amazing how powerful music can be. I have no idea what Corgan is saying for much of the song and I can barely remember any of the lyrics, but its hard not to get a little teary-eyed when this song comes on. Very moving.

  • I was 17 when this album came out and i still listen to it almost everyday. It was on of the most incredible albums i have ever heard. Makes me wish i could go back to that time and relive everything that i was doing. The 90's were the best years of my life!!! I will always love this album!

  • my god

  • i will die old listening to smashing pumpkins they r one of the best ever this pop and rap music will never live up to this. this music means something i hope future generations will find this band

  • Chuck Norris cried whilst listening to Mayonaise.

  • epic....ness!!!

  • @marinersmonster agreed, 90's is where its at

  • I love this song. I love the melody in the beginning.

  • Only a true genius (BILLY MORGAN) can make such a symphony of a song that is titled after something you put on a turkey sandwich, haha

  • @crimsonglory5guitar I hope for Christ's sake you mean Billy Corgan, and not the lovechild he had with Morgan Freeman.

  • I was 17 when this came out.... Always knew I'd always love it...'Run away with me tomorrow'............

  • @dunkanjs Right on ;)

  • GOD DAMMIT >.< i was born too late

  • This is my dad and my song to my mom who passed away

  • @SharpTongueMonster it's a great tune. sorry to hear that.

  • the sound of the early nineties...shit i wish i could turn back time...everything was magic then...now we're all old...Smashing Pumpkins fit so well

  • This brings memories of trips to Busch Gardens theme park and the roller coasters that dominated that time! I will never forget! Drachen Fire! Live on dear friend.

  • Many bands will be remembered. The Pumpkins will never die.

  • That's why the 90's rules.. \m/

  • This song reminds me of something that would play in the back ground, When you are like 90 years old and are looking through a picture album of past loves, friends who are now strangers, family faces, and personal treasured memories that you could never forget. It's like that song that makes you cry because it's sad to see it all how it used to be, but it's also so happy because you know those were the best times of your life.

  • @mrjackolanterns i listened to this album thousands of times with a big bunch of friends that i longer have, we snorted so many mescaline and spent so many nights outside near the river, reminds me so many things. Today I dont listen to it so often by purpose so the memories stays still uncommon. yep.

  • @mrjackolanterns i dont think you could put it any better than that dude. beautiful

  • @mrjackolanterns Dude, you summed it up perfectly! Exactly how I feel when I hear this tune

  • @mrjackolanterns wonderfull how you put this godlike tune in such wunderfull words!

  • @n4g4 Thanks. i tried. lol. rock on fellow pumpkinhead!

  • @mrjackolanterns Man, you summed it up perfectly. Exactly what I think too but couldn't put it into words.

  • @mrjackolanterns I was about to say nice words and then make an argument that Drown is a song best suited for waxing nostalgic, but then I thought about it and realized you could c&p this comment to any SP song and the point would be valid. Any Pumpkins song triggers happy memories for looking back on my life.

  • @mrjackolanterns if i make it to 90.. this is what i'll be listening too!!!!!

  • @mrjackolanterns This comment almost made me cry reading it.

  • @TheRachTube pff emo fag

  • @girlie347 anyway!

  • @girlie347 pff oh you're so cool cause you call people name's. relax.

  • @mrjackolanterns: that is the exactly discription i'm looking for but couldn't find the words to describe.

  • @mrjackolanterns

Can I buy some of your weed?

  • I got my license to this stuff those where the years!

  • 3:05 feels like im flying

  • if this was befor 1989 I was swiming inside wy mother when this came out and I love it hahah

  • One of the best intro's ever!!!

  • smashing music! damn i love this song

  • I haven't listened to this in years...and I can sing along and air guitar like a mofo.

  • best pumpkins ever.

  • when this album first came out i would smoke a huge joint...go to bed at 8pm and listen to it full blast

What a fuckin a trip and what great memories it brings back to hear this!

  • All my feelings in 6 minutes, my whole life in one song...

  • oh... to be young and in love... early twenties and not a god damn thing to do but listen to the pumpkins. go figure?

  • just bought the album and i must say.......i've fallen in love =)

  • I feel so old...I was 17 when this came out. lol Its the most perfect album ever. :))

  • @suesilverling100 If we can still rock on and enjoy such a beautiful album then we are not too old. I was also 17 and this album sounds just as good now as it did then.

  • @suesilverling100 You re not that old. I'm 21 and i feel old; from a hard life mostly but I do feel old. Those wrinkles and dark lins under you eyes are like your flag; they are a road map of your scars, broken dreams, and lost loves keep them and love them. The world may turn on you. What you wanted may be what you hate in the end but our memories will stay and will always kiss you with salty tears . God bless you and keep us all forever.

  • @suesilverling100 I was about the same age. Doesn't time fly?

  • best intro ever

  • its just.... one big eargasm

  • He should do more old style songs in open tuning like this one.

  • And of course this is one of my other favorite songs of all time. Thanks again buddy :)

  • i've listened to so many albums... so many times... siamese dream is the greatest rock and roll album ever written. period. so timeless so beautiful..

  • @zinxderobo

you, my friend, have great taste.....same here.....the whole album becomes more epic as I grow older...gah...

  • Words cannot describe the beauty of this song. Epic.

  • Probably my favorite Pumpkins song. I love songs that build. This song builds and never stops building.

  • absolutely the best pumpkins song ever.

  • i was born in 93' which is the year this album was released. youd think id be one of those ditzy teens who listen to the the modern mainstream fake shit. no i dont, this is music. idc what anyone else says but justin beiber or gaga CANNOT even be put in the category of music if this is in it

  • @marinersrmonster i was 4 when this album came out and my mom played it NONSTOP i will always have this album in my mind connected to many memories

especially the image of those two little girls

    brings back so much

  • @marinersrmonster rock on! :D

  • @marinersrmonster This is one of my Favorite songs when I was a teen in the 90s and Smashing punpkins were my Favorite band but they were considered mainstream in the late 90s although still number one and Realest of the real to me.I could relate to Billy Corgan better then Ice Cube or Fred Durst or even flippin Kurt Cobain. 10 yrs from now some kid is gonna say they wish they were around when Gaga or Beiber were big ;)

  • @marinersrmonster Well, I was born in 84, and was still very young when this came out. Older brothers of friends were into this kind of stuff, and Nirvana, so it filtered down to us as kids eventually! I would, however, stress that the fact you're 17 or so shouldn't stop you listening to whatever you like. I listen to lots of stuff from the 70's or 80's and it doesn't make me feel like an 'imposter'.

  • @marinersrmonster man man you're so damn right with that... Also born in '93 what a bummer that music these days sucks so much or the bands that make GREAT music don't get famous

  • @marinersrmonster In 1993 there was also a lot of Justin Bieber/Gaga like BS going on, just like now, you can still find pretty good music, you just have to look for it (born '76, I actively looked for SP and others).

  • @marinersrmonster: "Whoop There it is" by Tag Team, "Rump Shaker" by Wreckx-N-Effect, "Lately" by Jodeci, "I'm gonna be 500 Miles" by The Proclaimers, "Hip Hop Hooray" by Naughty by Nature, "All that She Wants" by Ace of Base, "Informer" by Snow, and some crap I can't even remember by Joey Lawrence from Blossom came out in 1993. Same crap then as there is now, and just like then, there's good music coming out today - it just doesn't top the charts.

  • @marinersrmonster same here man, same here

  • @marinersrmonster I was in grade 10...did a ton of acid and loved everything.. In '93

  • @marinersrmonster wow you are really special!

  • @marinersrmonster, Nice, my story is similar, I as born in '90 and I can't get enough of the Smashing Pumpkins. They are my most favorite band of all time...

  • @marinersrmonster Lol I was born in 94' so I win. Hahaha.

  • Comment removed

  • @marinersrmonster

dude, you are so cool. totally agreed on ideas of music. but if anything, i created a imaginative personal dictionary and in it, i have music's actual definition in it.

music (mu-zik): anything that came out before 2002.

  • @marinersrmonster

Glad to see someone nearly a decade younger than me knows they're growing up in a basically dead generation, musically speaking. I was born in '84 so I was in the 3rd grade when this album dropped, and it still has the same impact it did back then. My sister was born in '93, and some of the shit she listens to I wouldn't wipe my ass with. More power to you in your quest to convert the musically challenged.

  • i was born in 93' but tthis is the shit. i cannot get enough of this stuff

  • song is amazing. So much emotion wrapped into 6 minutes.

  • This is magical, powerful stuff.

  • This is music. Makes all the stupid shit we have today seem just that much more horrible and shallow.

  • its better live

  • I'd say "I miss the 90s" but that sound trite, considering I was born in '93

  • @WarGoatForestWolf666 souinds stupiod, you taken drudddess dude,

  • @jbek63 huh? want to respond to me in English, since that's clearly my mother tongue?

  • The "tinny" sound of the solo starting at 0:34 is pinch harmonics. It is made by pinching the pick so the string hits your index finger or thumb right after you pick the note. This is probably some Pink Floyd influence coming through. Little things like that, show how much thought Billy Corgan put into his music. It would still have been amazing w/o it. With it... masterful.

  • @Lagwins hi,its soo sweet to read someone who truly appreciates the musical beautful sounds these blokes make, takes me to places of faith, a highly underarted and misunderstoood bunch of chaps.like my fine self.

  • @Lagwins From 0:38 to 0:39, doesn't it sound like there's a harmonic that dips in pitch? How would you do that - prebend the note, hit a classical harmonic an octave higher with the other hand, and then release the bend? Either way, it's freaking gorgeous. It reminds me immensely of Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler.

  • @woodchuk123 Those are pinch hamonics. It would be a typical pre-bent note. Just pre-bend the string and use the same pinch harmonics to play it.

  • If smashing pumpkins arose today would be called indie rock band???

  • It would take a band's whole career in today's music business to create timeless masterpiece that is 'Siamese Dream'

    Breathtaking musicianship.

  • are those two girls on the cover Kendra and Maleah?

  • @bottleslingguy

I have always wondered how these girls grew up being the image of such a grand philosophical statement... Friendship: a shared dream

  • @freddiemas i can't even add anything to this i agree with you 100% i've often wondered that as well

  • pleasant brilliance...soft and spacey...hard and forever ... swimming electricity and doused in softness...beutiful sound....touched me

  • This is a great song. i dont think it could be any better.

  • Comment removed

  • This album was great, but I still think Melon Collie was their greatest. It was such a brilliant album. 28 songs and all of them good from what I remember.

  • I regret not listening to this band sooner.

    They're amazing.

  • Not everyone. Def for me..

  • this is officially my new favorite band

  • Wow what an album. I'm so glad that I grew up in the 90's and didn't get poisoned by the bullshit music that is now around. Don't get me wrong there is some decent stuff out there. But nothing like the stuff we had :)

  • is this the best band in the world or do they just make brilliant music

  • This song makes me tear up at the staggering beauty of it every time I hear it

  • out of love

  • True beauty never fades. This will sound as great in a 100 years time as it sounds today or when it came out.

Timeless sounds that will never age

  • You put words on feelings

  • @BVargas78 Don't get me wrong, I love The Smashing Pumpkins and this album is a masterpiece, but no music is truly timeless-- this music will forever sound like it was from the 90s, and even now in 2010 it already sounds slightly dated. That doesn't mean it isn't fantastic, but it won't be eternally modern. No music ever really is.

  • @SuperMegaAtheistMan I don't think this track has dated at all, in fact the 2000-2010 decade saw very little progression in terms of music. Unless you consider the x-factor manufactured bands and lady gaga progression. To be fair, Lady Gaga is ok i suppose :)

  • @BVargas78 I agree with you. Nothing before and nothing since has quite lived up to the experimental artfulness of Siamese Dream, and because of that this album still sounds as fresh and eye-opening as it did in '93. Honestly, with the passage of time I would say this is the BEST album (and best song) of that sublime period of music. The only thing close today would be System of a Down, but even they're more conventional in their sound/engineering.

  • @oldfrend I feel the same, but for me, Gish is the best of The Pumpkins by far.

  • Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful thank you Billy

  • only 13 thousand views............... wtf im responsible for like 10% of these!!! Is the townspeople not aware of such amazingness/??

  • they are, but its posted several times. the other posting with this same pic has 426,648 views,

    the live version over 500,000
