I am supporter of President Obama, but I have deep respect for John McCain, and this speech that he gave proves that he is a true man and American! He fought fairly, but he lost and took it like a true man should! This speech is amazing, and probably one of the best he ever gave!
Even though I don't believe in his policy... I agree that John McCain would make a great president. He has been serving the US for a very long time. What a great man!
even though i was a a staunch obama supporter, I thought McCain's concession was amazing. I had much respect for him. it's just a shame about all those pricks in the audience.
Calling everyone who voted for McCain "racist" is a pretty prejudiced statement to make. I voted for Obama, but that doesn't mean I have to hate McCain or his supporters.
Mccain should've won,he didn't keep his past in secrecy and all that shit.Obama is a media product that shouldn't have won,any obama supporters need to do some research on him(obama) then you may not support him anymore,he is unpatriotic, you may think that is something stupid to consider, but shouldn't a presidential candidate be patriotic.
I was so upset and dissappointed that night, I couldnt watch it! It was heartbreaking to see Mr McCain and Ms. Palin saying goodbye. Now everyone is seeing the true colors of the democraps, obama, biden, pelosi. What a mistake this country made electing those liberal bastards. They want to close Guantanamo yet they have no plan where to send those murderous animals. God help this country!
i remember watching this live on election night at 4 o'clock in the morning (i live in england) and i was impressed at how gracefull he was in defeat.

It's very simple. All the afro-americans saw Obama and didn't care to much about much else. They all voted for him, and also all the left-winged people.
I'd just like to remark that when Obama mentioned McCain at his acceptance speech, not a single person booed. Hope this small contingent doesn't represent all Republicans.
i admire and respect mccain he tried but after 8 yrs. of the same old shit i'm glad he lost fuck the rep/cons agenda of making the rich richer and the middle class get poorer and poorer so all you priviliged assholes who don't like it to fucking bad whats it like to be the minority now besides every one knows rep/cons are racist, judgemaental, hipocrite assholes that got what they deserve.

why does he make it sound like Obama won because he is black? its not about black or white, republican or democrat, young or old, its about the ability to lead our troubled nation
to be honest im south african and i didn't really care who won the election but I have to admit that this man is one of the most sincere and eloquent presidential canditates I have seen in recent times. I think whoever we are, Republican, Democrat or neither, we can all take a leaf out of this as a perfect example of grace in defeat. It takes a great man to succeed but an even greater man to accept defeat with honour. Once again I supported no one in this race. I am talking from a neutral stance
McCain is a very eloquent and intelligent man. He is a powerful American leader despite losing to Barrack Obama. I have the outmost respect for him eventhough I decided to side with Obama. Hes definatelty a man who served his country and endured amazing pain and that will never be forgotten. McCain is a soldier and admirable, but was outmatched and was up against a worthy adversary. yeah thats the first thing i notice, these supporters boo at the mention of Obama. Though Obama's speech he mentions McCain and not one single person boo's. I think that says alot about the crowd he had there.
How can people say bush ruined the US? People like to point a finger and blame someone to make them feel better. I think he had little to do with the collapse of our economy. I don't think he was the greatest president, but I really think he had little to do with the mess we're seeing today. Their are no facts that say it is Bush's fault that our country is collapsing. He just has to suffer cause he was president when it happened.
Hardy har har har! I am a Blue Collar Republican. Please take my job overseas and while your at it build great big SVU's with tax rebates and put the Big Three at the largest disadvantage in automotive history because the Japs and K-Town specials do it better than USA workers AND for Less Money!!!!!
Money is what it's all about and God and Country!!!!
The USA and other European countries are "rich", they are big consumers while the third world countries barely have enough to eat. The world powers want to spread the income across the planet earth, so goes your job to them.
We got a black radical as president, who is a member of a black racist church, and European Americans will be a minority in their own country by 2042!
Now Obama has won the election, David Duke might run for president in 2012!
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
Support David Duke for President!★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
My friends kept saying alot of mean things about McCain, but after i watched this video, i just thought that he's not a bad person than what my friends said
I think McCain lost the election rather then Obama won it. He could have won if he didn't say: that the fundamentals of the economy were strong and that if he continued to talk about the economy he would lose. He should remained calm in not rushing and distance himself from the bailout bill that failed to pass. McCain made himself look careless about U.S. economy. Obama won only because he was smarter during the financial crisis, I think.
i thought it was childish! the booing... who does that honestly id like to see those people try and put together a campaigne like either obama or mccain they both deserve emense amounts of respect
yes i would have voted for him 8 years ago and im a hardcore liberal. He really is a true american hero and I feel blessed to have him as a fellow american.
Evn though I'm glad Obama is prez, I can honestly say that I think John McCain bowed out pretty gracefully, and I look at him differently than I did a month ago. I'd never thought I'd say this but the man has my respect!
I just wish his followers would put their differences aside...and for Christ's sake, let the man finish his speech!
what a great speech i actually feel bad for mccain. i voted for obama and im happy he won. its not mccains fault that he didnt win. for the past 8 years bush did nothing good but lied and ruined the american reputation. putting our noses in other peoples buissness messing up our economy and killing our bothers, sons, and fathers in an unnecessary war. it made the republicans look horrible. so americans did not want 2 take chances with mccain.
At least Obama's supporters had enough respect to clap when he mentioned McCain. Funny thing is if you call McCain supporters sore losers and cry babies they'll bitch even though 8 years ago they did nothing but make fun of Gore/Lieberman supporters for being sore losers.
McCan't got that ass KICKED!! LOL

yeah thats the first thing i notice, these supporters boo at the mention of Obama. Though Obama's speech he mentions McCain and not one single person boo's. I think that says alot about the crowd he had there.

I am from democrats and this is a real speach, I have to recognize it.

The people that voted for Obama don't even understand what he's saying.
Barak OBama will turn our country inside out.
Not only has he EVEN FLIP-FLOPED after he had been elected, but he switched issues more than anyone.. EVER.
From saying "I'm bringing jobs back to america" a month later he's gone "green."
Not green as in green-party
green as in environmental. He's going to try to pass a bill where ANY company that produces emissions will need to BUY a permit so.
Thank you for ruining the us.
HeroFlameFilms 3 years ago
"ruining the US" this man is not president yet. think about what you are saying.
bush DID ruin the US.
blacksixspeed 3 years ago
How can people say bush ruined the US? People like to point a finger and blame someone to make them feel better. I think he had little to do with the collapse of our economy. I don't think he was the greatest president, but I really think he had little to do with the mess we're seeing today. Their are no facts that say it is Bush's fault that our country is collapsing. He just has to suffer cause he was president when it happened.

The USA and other European countries are "rich", they are big consumers while the third world countries barely have enough to eat. The world powers want to spread the income across the planet earth, so goes your job to them.

Good on him, nice to see how gracious he is. Unity is the best way forward, good that he embraces it.

We got a black radical as president, who is a member of a black racist church, and European Americans will be a minority in their own country by 2042!
Now Obama has won the election, David Duke might run for president in 2012!

Why did people boo!!?? It is soooo rude! You didn't hear people booing when Obama said McCain's name....gosh...people!!

My friends kept saying alot of mean things about McCain, but after i watched this video, i just thought that he's not a bad person than what my friends said
FireEmblem39 3 years ago 3
I think McCain lost the election rather then Obama won it. He could have won if he didn't say: that the fundamentals of the economy were strong and that if he continued to talk about the economy he would lose. He should remained calm in not rushing and distance himself from the bailout bill that failed to pass. McCain made himself look careless about U.S. economy. Obama won only because he was smarter during the financial crisis, I think.

Bravo Senator McCain, losing with grace is very honorable... That's the McCain I liked, noth the one in control of the republican party.

i must admit, i gained much respect 4 McCain after this speech, he is totally graceful in losing.

I totally agree. I'm an Obama fan myself, but this speech was really good. He didn't seem bitter at all, but sincere in congratulating Obama.
thebabyateyourdingo 3 years ago 4
As a Canadian, I could only wish that our politicians were this caring and graceful when they win or lose an election.
This has got to be one of, if not the best speech I have ever heard.

i was so happy when Obama won and when i heard McCain's speech i gained respect for him and that is great

veterans day is a good day to gain respect for every veteran whether they give a good speech or not. learn to respect.

Evn though I'm glad Obama is prez, I can honestly say that I think John McCain bowed out pretty gracefully, and I look at him differently than I did a month ago. I'd never thought I'd say this but the man has my respect!
I just wish his followers would put their differences aside...and for Christ's sake, let the man finish his speech!
chi5311 3 years ago 2
man, I didn't expect all the booing, totally unnecessary. Being his fans, they shouldn't make his speech more difficult than it already is...

what a great speech i actually feel bad for mccain. i voted for obama and im happy he won. its not mccains fault that he didnt win. for the past 8 years bush did nothing good but lied and ruined the american reputation. putting our noses in other peoples buissness messing up our economy and killing our bothers, sons, and fathers in an unnecessary war. it made the republicans look horrible. so americans did not want 2 take chances with mccain.
secretlyconcided 3 years ago
I kind of chuckled when he said "Barack Obama", and everyone went "BOOOOO!" xP

Talk about a lack of class.
adrak 3 years ago
McCain has got a lot of class. He discouraged the booing of Obama even though I personally loved it.
BearFan09 3 years ago 3
Of course he has class. But the majority of the people there obviously didn't. I also doubt that you do aswell.
adrak 3 years ago
Oh yeah because Obama supporters have so much class, right? (sarcasm)
BearFan09 3 years ago
At least Obama's supporters had enough respect to clap when he mentioned McCain. Funny thing is if you call McCain supporters sore losers and cry babies they'll bitch even though 8 years ago they did nothing but make fun of Gore/Lieberman supporters for being sore losers.
