MSNBC is a SEPARATE entity. It´s not blended together with NBC. The opinion page of the New York Times is clearly marked as the place where opinions are given rather than "hard news". This is what the White House is saying, Fox News mixes opinion pieces with real news to the point where they become hard to separate. Damn, never thought that when I read Orwell´s 1984 it would be this close to what is happening today. Some say Rove is some kind of genius. He´s just devious.
Thatk you White House. Your war on Fox News has made them the talking point everywhere. Fox News ratings go up everytime they attack it. Like Rush who's name is being used on the US Senate floor of a Presedents press meeting. All you have done is make them bigger and bigger. Thank's you, you dumb ass idiots.
The "war on Fox" meme plays into the right-wing's game. The ONLY people who think it's a 'war' are loons who WANT to believe it. Sure, the WH has commented on FNC's quality of reporting, but that's about it. FNC hasn't been kicked out of press briefings, and they're still going to have admin officials on Faux news shows.
FNC is being marginalized for the same reasons Limbaugh is--because they lack credibility. I admit it's fun watching them cry like babies, but we should ignore them.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Well, I guess when you have 2 times as many viewers as all other cable news stations combined, like Glenn Beck, it's really hard to justify you're credibility.
On the other hand, if you have less than 500,000 viewers a night like Chris Matthews, you are extremely credible and should in fact be given the benefit of the doubt.
Well, I guess when YOU ARE stupid, and DO NOT understand the difference between YOU ARE and YOUR, then I CAN NOT expect you to understand the fallacy of YOUR argument.
By applying YOUR reasoning, "Mein Kampf" is a better autobiography than "From Yale To Jail". After all, more people have read "Mein Kampf", and as we all know--numbers never lie.
Please note: my previous comment was not a defense of the veracity of other networks, but rather, that the "war on Fox" meme is paranoid fantasy.
The point the Obama administration is getting at is that many of the talking points on Fox's "news" come strait from their commentators like Beck and Reilly. Like how they spend several shows blasting ACORN when the only story is rich white men complaining about poor people voting. Any real news organization would have dropped it after a day or so, yet during their news hours they make it sound like ACORN is raping babies daily. It's a food fight, and no one is going to win, Obama loses
Glenn Beck says things like, "I'm going to show you the connections that the other news organizations won't show you," and then tells us how Obama is a communist and a fascist and all this other bullshit.
That comparison with "other news organizations" is dishonest and what the White House takes issue with.
It doesnt benifit them in any way and at the end of the day it will just make more people to want to go watch Fox news to see if it is as bad as the White House says it is.
Its a stupid strategy the White House is employing and they need to end it ,now.
But the White House should not have gone after Fox so agressively in my opinion.
MSNBC is just as bad (in some cases) as Fox is. MSNBC derided Bush RELENTLESSLY during his tenure and the Bush Administration never attacked them to the extent that this White House has attacked Fox.
Be careful Carl, we remember the crap you used to dish out when you and your cronies were in power. It stank then and it smells even worse now, and that is now that the nations new messiah is in power! Let him reign!
Rove was the 2nd biggest bully in the Bush White House after the VP. He had an enemy list a mile long. I wish Holder would hurry up and fully investigate the fired attorney cases so Rove can go to jail.
unfortunately what they did then was legal under the law. bush changed the limit on the days you could not remove the attorneys down and removed them when it was over. No luck getting them on that.
hysterical how belligerent the conservatives are in defending their right to lie. we want our the freedom to lie! the founders created liberty for liars! dictators hate liars! imagine if bush called liars, liars! it really isn't the white house's place to call out liars! look at me i'm lying about the liars because lying is free speech, damn it!
this party vs party fighting has to stop, it isn't helping anything. Republicans had their chance the last eight years to do some good in office and did nothing but put this country into TRILLIONS of dollars of debt. Now the democrats have to come in and find a way to clean up their mess and it isn't helping when the repubs don't offer any solutions of their own, all they do is attack attack attack the current administration it is childish really.
Name calling and unsubstantiated accusations are not considered news....just entertainment!
Also pushing for Dr. Tuttles death by Bill-O is not news or organizing teabaggers demonstrations, is not news....but it is pushing the station's Right Wing GOP agenda.....The White House didn't attack Fox, they just reminded other Networks that Fox is not in their calibur as "News" journalist!
The party of unabashed bully-worshipers, ass-kicking cowboys, swaggering Rambos, and naked, unilateral power-wielders...calling the press sec a meanie?
Has anyone noticed that the right-wing is always engaged in a war on "something"? Has anyone noticed that right wingers and Fox is no longer concerned with radical Islam but is now waging a war on the Obama administration? Remember for 7 years the right was obsessed with a war on terror that scared the crap out of so-called patriotic americans 24/7? And now from the right, the greatest threat to freedom is the Obama administration...This is a plea for sanity....

Haha, Fox is so whiney. It's hilarious. Any sane person knows Fox is biased.
And yes, everything is biased. But when the extreme side is like ten times as biased as the norm, it's normal to exclude them.

No. It's not.

Fox New's opinion programming is OBVIOUSLY partisan..thats not why the White Hose is attacking Fox.
The "news" programing on Fox always portrays the White House and President Obama NEGATIVELY.
ALWAYS!
Has anyone ever heard anyone on Fox say anything positive about the this President and his administration?
Have you ever heard Fox cover a story that made the White House look good?
NO!
Fox is simply an 24hr attack machine.
