@fruitbooter96 man id have to get way more than its worth to be able to build something else like it. send me a message with an offer if your serious ill let you know whats up. im located in columbia mo. The wheels are 20" Helo 835's
Thanks for the info! Its nice to get a straight answer from someone who as actually done the conversion themselves. I wanted to do this more for the reliability over the vp44, so im glad to know the truck will still have decent drivability if i keep everything relatively stock. Oh and by the way did you see better or worse mileage numbers after the conversion? Thank you
Did you do the conversion yourself? and how is the the drivability over the vp pump? just curious because im looking to do this to my 99 and have heard good and bad about the conversion. Beautiful truck by the way!
@twistedLs1 did the conversion in about 3 days, its pretty easy if you know the motor fairly well. in this video the truck used to drive perfect, (stock injectors, stock turbo, 4k gsk, 191 delivery valves in the pump) now with the new pump 5k gsk, full cut delivery valves, rack plug, 24* of timing, 7x.012 injectors, 67/71/16 turbo... it can be a pain some times the throttle is VERY sensitive, it wants to buck, jerk if you cant keep your foot steady. its not bad once you get used to it. thanks
is that carberated?

what does it mean to p pump something?
MrJakediesel 4 months ago
@MrJakediesel putting a p7100 injection pump off an older 12 valve model on a newer 24 valve. The vp44 pump on the 24 valves are constantly going out
gwoodscummins99 4 months ago
@gwoodscummins99 thats a myth, vp44's fail due to lack of maintanance/insufficiant lift pump pressure.
check your fuel pressure regularily, change your filters, and the vp will last 300k miles easy

after the conversion it was around 17.5+-. with the vp it was always 16-17, so no major change.
