I like Stalin because he destroyed militaristic capitalism’s and fascist’s plans and won WWII. The world was safe back then (not like now). So, we need new Stalin.
Stalin and Soviet planners knew war with the Capitalist
West was only a matter of time. The Capitalists would only leave the USSR in peace until they were capable of making war upon it. The USSR was the greatest threat to their tyranny. The Non-Aggression Pact was only signed because the US, Great Britain, etc. would not sign with the Soviets for mutual defense against NAZI Germany, and only to buy time to further prepare for the war the Russians knew would come.
I also like these propaganda movies. If you look close, USSR Propaganda always depicts Nazis as brute animals while Anti-US Propaganda depicts the Americans as humans.
@zahaladino The beautiful, ironic, paradoxes of life. But I'm not sure I know the truth about Stalin. I've been raised in the Capitalist USA. I must consider that the interest of the rulers of my nation would be to tell me Stalin was a monster. I am investigating through well rounded means the history of Stalin's time, and in that are many good things I was never taught in my homeland, the USA. There is also evidence that contradicts the many stories I've been taught about Stalin's tyranny.
@Commiton Gotta teach him from the balanced perspective really. He did a lot of good for the Soviet Union and saved it from the fascists who had plans for the Slavic and/or Soviet people that were terrifying beyond belief. At the same time, he ruthlessly crushed anyone really who resisted and did a lot of conquest in the name of returning "lost" territories from the Russian Empire to Soviet possession. Killed a LOT of people on purpose and many by incompetence as well.
You are badly informed about either Marxism and Fascism. Marx and Lenin advocated the idea of the Dictatorship of the proletariat (not Democracy of the Proletariat!) which, according to their ideas is much better than traditional democracy. And, trust me, Stalin was`t Fascist . He was just a bloodthirsty Georgian gangster who wanted to gain absolute power.
Yeah, it's true. Stalin persecuted jews and other minorities relentlessly too - to say nothing of his mass-murdering purges! Total hypocrisy
Think very carefully about how these film attempt to demonize nazis and how this effectively vindicates the soviets from any wrongdoing of their own since they're up such a terrible evil. The american right-wing even invokes the nazis these days as a means of demonizing their enemies thereby ignoring any wrongdoing and propagandizing they are guilty of.
(Yes the left wing also does this btw) Anyway my point is that demonization is an excellent way for a group of hypocrites to project any wrongdoing they are guilty of onto someone else. Stalin's purges are essentially no different than anything the nazis did. Calling Obama Hitler and health care reform death camps is a hyterical play straight out of herr goebbels propaganda playbook.
I don't agree. I think the Marxist system itself could have worked if not for Facsists like Stalin taking advantage of it, claiming to be communists for their own gain. Bear in mind, no where in any of Marx's writings does he advocate dictatorship, in fact dictatorship is the exact opposite of what he wanted. He wanted a classless soceity.
I cant wait when americans make documentary about american cold war russophobic propaganda , which still continues

You are comparing republicans to Stalin and Hitler? And their goals to mass purges and holocausts? Sounds like demonization to me...
