  • Berg deserves the Hell that he put others through. Cults are garbage. They lead people to Hell.

  • This person is a victimized deranged daughter of a devil worshiper, using Jesus Christ as a shield for the usage of people souls. Charles Manson is more honest. Anton LaVey got big because of "The Christianity" of this type.

  • DEMONIC!

  • Look at the slander set against the Family International! Calling them a cult in a negative way which isn't true. Twisting truths into something dirty or vile. This is proof the Devil hates and inspires writers to make it look like David Berg has done something wrong when He has done everything right How? His main thing is to win people to the Love of God in any way possible. That's how much Love He has. Have you that much faith to start a world wide mission for the Love of God?

  • @arch37 The love of Christ does not include child abuse.....sorry but that's completely WRONG! Yes, Jesus did not wipe out the laws given to us through Moses. Jesus came to fulfill the law and David Berg is in hell for what he did.

  • @MrsSarb as long you believe in the stupid nonsense concept of heaven and hell this spiritual enslavement continues you live in a virtual slavery day in and day out gettin controlled by vested interests ...

  • @nibus9 not like the poor kids in that cult

  • @MrsSarb "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it" - - - "Judge not.. "

  • @buildelectriccarsnow That is true, I am a sinner but I'm a victorious sinner because I have repented and taken my sins to God for forgiveness. If a person does not repent of their sin, then they cannot be forgiven.

  • Jesus can reset the rules! When David Berg was alive & well, he was after souls & still is. Who isn't if you're a real Christian! We as Christians are in a war of the worlds! Light dismissing darkness, Love against hate. This is why more people need to come to know Jesus! He's truly out of this world yet keenly interested in loving everyone, so they may know the Spirit of God His Father & Mother, the Heavenly instead of the earthly! Com'on ask Jesus into your heart in one sincere prayer!

  • @arch37 He was "after souls" alright. He was after their dignity and their God given intelligence as well.

  • In 1976, the word "flirty fishing" was in general use, but I understood it to mean literaly that, flirting, to get converts. Not sex. Aparently that did not become widespread until later.

  • @milascave - that's how I understood it, too.

( Btw. the churches hypocritical and/or frigidal approach to sex makes me puke ! )

  • maybe all religions could do the sex thing, might make it more interesting

  • Family Intern. won't allow u to disagree with them- common with denominations binding people.Tried posting on their "Free hugs" video- True Love waits, is corrective- from a holy God. It's not this "Thelema" love the Family Intern. denomination is putting forth. They display an adulterous love like the mother of denominations in Rev. 17. With this they destroyed many lives- but Christ's blood can take away every stain- even a religious one. Truth (of every Bible Word) makes us free. VOGR

  • thankfully, i left at age 16. didn't waste more time.. am almost recovered psychologically

  • i was with the cog years ago i really got a good laugh from this video--no regrets and a productive member of both worlds

  • Get the fuck over it, in my opinion your all some bitch ass punks who can't take a hit, I'm an exmember but I geuss I'm not really a baby like you

  • I'm an Ex-Member and I don't know who my dad was but I really don't give a fuck, cause if I wasn't raised in the Family I'd be totally confused. You all need to smoke some fuckin weed and chill the fuck out, and I'm not brainwashed at all. I think all you ex-members who talk shit about the Family are just little baby bitches who can't take a hit. Get the fuck over it, that was years ago. I owe alought to the Family. I could be pissed off if I wanted to but I geuss I'm not a bitch ass like you.

  • The one thing you don't seem to owe them is an education.

  • Ok well if I wasn't in the Family before I would have been going to public school and would be skipping class every other day and cheating on the tests

  • WOW, that cult got anything except of the true teachings! I mean, there's incest, polygyny/polyandry and pure homosexuality as well! Though I'm a gnostic I find this cult as being amongst the best that DRUGES ever have made!

  • yeah, they reject it;... its gross......

  • You guys are the fools, because you believe everything you see.

I hope someday you will see the truth

  • It's true... almost everyone believes what the see... It really is sad... Especially if you have never met a single Family Member or a Former Member or have never even been in the cult... I have experienced all three...

  • I've worked with a few ex family members in their path to integration with society and I agree with your statement that many of the stories in the press seem to be gross exaggerations.

Try helping an ex Muslim heal, you'll see what actual abuse at the hands of a cult is.

  • I don't know, man, this seems pretty fucked up.

  • Many of their beliefs and practices ARE fucked up, but claims that members were unable to leave, stalked and harassed have been investigated and been found to be exaggerated or the members own paranoid perception of the actions of others.

  • I'm not positing that claims weren't exagerrated; I'm only saying that this was a dangerous, delusional, and destructive group.

  • This IS a dangerous, delusional and destructive group, theroachksu. The practices of "The Family International" today aren't much different than what they did when they were The Children of God.

The only difference is that they now have more money and can bamboozle people into their web with secular "front" businesses like employment programs, literacy classes in developing nations etc.

  • I had no idea that they were still active. With volumes of these exposés both in print and online, how can they still attract followers?

  • How does Scientology still attract followers with the same bad PR? They do it with well rehearsed brainwashing. If they can get you through their front door and know that you are looking for answers they can set the manipulation wheels in motion.

What's disturbing to me about the fact that these cults still thrive is that they are recruiting smart people who should be able to look at the situation objectively. Stupid people, generally, don't go looking for the answers to the big questions.

  • Perhaps those "smart" people are in it for some financial gain?

  • Some may be, although I have yet to see the lower level Scientologist who has gained anything financially. By the time they get to me they've, usually, "donated" everything that they have to the cult.

  • I was referring to those "smart" people in the Family International, but I also wonder how and why otherwise-intelligent people fall for these charlatans. I suppose all humans are seeking answers to life greatest mysteries, and will accept irrational doctrines for the peace of mind which the supposed knowledge brings.

  • Out of curiosity, did you see the "In the Closet" parody that South Park did about Scientology? The ending scene pretty much sums up the episode with the same sentiment that you just expressed.

I think that there is peace of mind to be found in certain spiritual beliefs. Unfortunately, the business of religion tends to interfere with people actually finding it.

  • Haha.. "And then I pulled out my GUN!" I don't specifically recall the ending scene, but I think that our sentiment is a widely held one by most rational and observant people. As a boy I was raised in the Catholic church, and while it gave me a sense of purpose and some security, I arrived at an age where I reasoned that it might be better to admit ignorance than continue to adamantly believe things for which there is no proof. I might be a bit less optimistic, but my conscience is clear.

  • My father was Catholic and my mother's family was fundamental, snake handling Baptist (she was agnostic). Due to the differences in faith they married in a non denominational church. So, in the eyes of the Catholic Church my parents weren't married and my 3 brothers and I were bastards (As my father and his 7 siblings became when the church annulled my grandparent's marriage of 15 years).

I think that anyone raised in a stringent sect, like Catholicism, is off to a very shaky spiritual start.

  • It's been great talking to you, theroachsku. I'm off to play the "Devil's music" in a "den of iniquity" where they sell copious amounts of the "Daemon alcohol". That was my extended Baptist family's influence coming out there, sorry about that :). Keep in touch.

  • I had a brilliant friend who joined the LDS church for the same reasons, and when he left he told me he had to delude himself to overcome the plethora of inconsistencies, but he derived comfort knowing that he was "enlightened" and among the chosen few of God to carry out His work.

  • I can't count on my twenty digits how many times I've heard some minor variation of that story.

This may sound strange, but when I worked with ex cult members and I came to realize that our innate need to belong and fit in was the most powerful weapon in the cult's arsenal the more I came to appreciate the bat shit insane homeless person types.

Kinda hard to take advantage of someone in that way when they've already elected to drop out of our society and the wants and needs that go with it.

  • How can you compare a pervy cult to a MAJOR world faith that is the fastest Growing religion in the world ever?!!!

In Islam there is no force and women are completely covered not objects of lust at all!!!

  • The Children of God don't pound into their follower's heads that the punishment for apostasy is death, Islam does. If a person hears that enough times, and sees examples of it, they believe it.

It's a lot easier helping a person who isn't afraid that their family and former friends are going to kill them, believe me.

  • Islam is the most peaceful religion that promotes forgiveness if A certain Muslim is acting in an evil way that does not nullify the ENTIRE pure faith just means that person is mean. The Quran is the only holy book to not have changed a single sylabel since revalation it isnt a human construct. I read the Bible too u can so tell they have the same author v similar

  • The punishment for apostacy IS DEATH. You cannot dispute that, and that is the conversation at hand which makes this comment that you have posten pointless brainwashed drivel.

  • y u so mad? geez....live and let live every one is different in the world dont let it freak u out....take a deep breath.

  • The punishment for apostasy in Islam is death, it's in your theology and it is still taught today from Muhammad's, supposedly, perfect book. In my experience this has an horrific effect on the mental well being of ex muslims that I have worked with. By spouting the cult propaganda that Islam teaches you only support my argument that the followers of Islam are cult members as these comments are unrelated to the subject at hand.

Do you have a counter argument to my original comment?

  • Thank you, again, for the cult propaganda on my profile page, FarahMina. It only goes to show how much of a cult you belong to: You cannot debate the point that I bring up, because it is true, so you have to spout off about the "beauty" and "perfection" of Islam, although you offer no evidence to support your claims, just to convince YOURSELF that you aren't a member of a Satanic death cult.

I would imagine that self delusion is a rather interesting state of being?

  • Wrong!

  • Comment removed

  • Will you have the guts to reply and talk about this?

  • How many delusions will it take it for you to come out and tell the world that your father, David Brandt Berg, Moses David, "Mo", fucked you but not (one of) your sisters (I am just quoting her) and that there are persons who will not forget this invasion into their bodies?

  • Well, look at it this way, she might be a whore, but, out of all the soppy people that left the group and said they were 'abused all the time', she hasn't said anything like that!!! Why? cause a lot of what ex-members say is false.. they just want sympathy cause they are useless motherfuckers,,, like you!!!

  • You must be a member still who hasn´t realized what a delusion this whole thing was and is. I really hope you will wake up one day!

  • You know I'm a exmember, but whats really fun sometimes is to look at stuff like this and watch all you bitter exmembers cry about how you were brainwashed and try to help people from thire delusion, its REALLY funny, especially when your high its just like, haha, haha, hahahahahhahHAAHAHAHAHHA!!HA!HA!HA!HA!

  • I was bitter when I wrote my comment, but I am not a bitter ex-member, I am very happy with my life, believe me, no regrets. But I must say that I am surprised that Faithy never answered my comment. It´s typical of those who are bigger than life only in their own little minds (spirit would be too much) and lead weak people to nowehere...

  • Shows you are still brainwashed, you downplay all their abuse and refuse to accept the fact you were duped. Your loyalty is still to the cult and not to yourself, how dare you call me useless, you accuse others of the very thing you are guilty of--That is judging by face value, get an education and learn how to have critical thinking for chrissake!

  • Woman, you have the face of an ugly lier, this is Isaiah from Brazil, remember? How can you be so insane? Stop conveying the insanity of your daughter-granddaughter fucking father. Take off your mask. Look at yourself!

  • She's lying, and a hypocrite.

  • I remember that Woman having sexual relations with a 15 year old boy in 1985!!!! She is absolutely insane like her father, David Berg.

  • What she didn't tell you is that the reason for it, was the cult were having financial difficulties and didn't have much standing in the world, which they call 'the system', so basically they sent out whores... like faith, to fuck outsiders... it's gross and so against the bible... berg was so fucked in the head its truly sad... Fuck, my mother was a literal whore back in those days, absolutely gross...

  • That is gross. Faith is not like that... her father was a twisted fuck, but she wasn't as bad.. She was more of a whore as figarotx said above.

  • Sparkling Cynaide, Did you ever live with her??? I have and I can tell you she was so brainwashed by her Dad even at age 40 she manipulated people, complained and instigated abuse, You are absolutely no one to talk unless you have lived in that cult and lived with the likes of her and others who maligned and abused people in such a way. Don't worry I am not totally upset at you just want to set the record straight.

  • haha, Phoenixkidd.. yes, i wouldn't be talking about them in that way, if i wasn't part of the cult! i used to be, but left a long time ago.. how about you?

  • Of course I left, 10 years ago, at age 22 a little late, but I was so brainwashed too!

  • lying WHORE!!!!
