Spin bowlers *secrets* dont remain hidden for long in international cricket. With video footage, analysis every single delivery is sorted out. And only if you can come up with new deliveries can you surprise top batsmen often. Murali did that for a long time, but I guess he is running out of tricks.

Also, other teams watch him out, try not to give him wickets, and as SL are missing another wicket taking bowlers, all opponents have to do is pass his overs and score off the next guy

I do feel though that more people prefer Warne to him (me included) because Warne has no special biomechanical gift, he is just a normal bloke which gives us others with regular bodies hope that we can also go on and be great bowlers, and that you don't have to have a biomechanical advantage to achieve greatness.

I just think that a lot of people (including me) prefer Warne because he does not have any 'special' biomechanical features, such as murali's shoulders/wrist. I think it gives people aspiration as Warnie is a normal bloke that you could meet down the pub whereas Murali is a one off and no one will be like that again, whereas Warne gives hope to us normal bodied that we can be great players too!

That second delivery to Slater was a ripper of a Doosra. Pitched on leg and ripped towards the offstump. Slater did well to get his body behind it because he certainly did not get much bat on it.

It's a shame that Murali's not the bowler he was when this was filmed. Back then, even batsmen who could read him had to work very hard because the ball practically exploded off the pitch. Nowdays he isn't able to rip it the way he used to so even tailenders are playing him off the pitch.
