i got a problem, everything runns well, but, The sword in the start menu, is till pixeled, the backgrunds are aswell, just get the fealing someting bot wooorking as it shuld... i see every vid u upploaded, the sword is smaler and clean looking, my setting are at 1280x960 full screen? does some one know what to do?

After installing the mod everything seems to be running and looking great but I have one small issue, after a few min my screen saver starts up. Is there a way to prevent that from happening?

@brandon40153 unfortunately, mods can only be installed in the PC version. IN an emulator, you use the PS1 version.

Someone can help me? I got the "self test passed" message, i set fullscreen on "no" in the .cfg file, i started the config exe and the game as admin but it still shows up in fullscreen.

i messed up and installed patch, then Phoenix Rejuvenation Project mod first and then tried these graphics and now i cant get the save folder and the ff7input file with any way, no trouble with open the game and no point if i change the controls in game, and i cant find the save folder after i save the game. i don't know what's the problem.... any help?

And also, like stated below, the input.cfg file is made by going into the config menu within the game itself, and messing with the control settings and whatnot, exit the game and the file should be there.

For those who also dont know, to view cfg files, and to be able to edit them, open them in wordpad or notpad (by selecting a specific program to view them). Once edited, save the file.

For those of you have issues after editing the opengl file etc, and haveing nothing happen when you launch the game. You actually have to select "custom driver" under display settings. Once you do that, you'll have the popup that says "self test has past etc etc". The dude didnt mention that at all in the video, and i searched around for about 20 minutes, before haveing to look at his video again, full screen, to see that that was the change that was needed to be made. Hope it helps.

For "Access Denied" issue on Gl save:

1) Copy to desktop > Edit

2) Copy back to main game folder

I figured it out

To get the ff7input file you need to start the game and open the menu and customize the controls and save it. Exit the game and its there.

I don't have the ff7_input.cfg or the save folder with save00.ff7-save09.ff7 in my FF7 folders. I am running the 1.02 patch and currently no other mods. Is there a fix at all for this? I can screenshot my FF7 directory and send it to you if it will help.

Just go to the finalfantasy7pc website and download the Remix Patcher. It includes the 1.02 patch, this, and 18 other mods. The filesize is a doozy (almost 2 gigabytes) but it'll most likely greatly improve the graphics.

@SouljaBoiQueer Nevermind... I found it. On windows 7 for some reason if you don't launch the game as administrator then the saves go somewhere else and you'll end up having two different save locations. Thanks anyways... and yeah I did download a couple save files as well.

hello, i hav a problem with this mod, i have tried to install it many many times and always after i installed it i get the error message from windows where it asks to send report or not... i do EXACTLY what you say in this video, i have the original version, patched it with 1,02, then did all that was mentioned in the video and still the same crappy error, ive tried about 8 times now so if someone knows the answer i would gladly hear it, thanks in advance

@dedam85 It might be that you need to set the renderer to 'custom graphics' not opengl.

ive installed the custom graphics driver and worked, everything looks good. Then i encountered a problem, every time a random battle starts my fps gets locked at 12 and originaly supposed to be at 15 . in other words it gets really slow during battles. is this because of the resolution or some other problem? my native resolution is 1366 x 768 and my computer can run the game perfectly in everything except the random encounters. If you can help id appreciate it.

I tried to install it under windows 7 a oucple of times. Installation works yet when I try to run it the screen goes black for a couple of second and then says the ff7.exe is not working/responding.

Does this 'patch'also fix that problem?

ive just noticed something with this mod, im at the part of the game where barret meets up with dyne and when that scene starts, theres a line in red that says "error in reading \directory\wind.wav

as soon as that sound file plays out, the line appears again and no music is playing, and once dyne says"...." , the game crashes.

you got a solution to this?

Have you made sure that you updated the game to 1.02, made the 9 save files as I showed? Let me know. I will put up the file within the next hour or so. Be sure to check the website then.

@8x10paper Did you insert disk 1, 2 or 3 into your CD/DVD Drive? Because that's the most common problem. If you are using ISO's, i'm clueless on how to help.

@654Tidus654 ultima does not work whatsoever with Aali's custom OpenGL driver. It requires the original game. There's a way to get around but there is absolutely no point in using the ultima version. People use it for the fact that you need no cd. But if you watch my ISO tutorial its pretty straight forward on how to load cd's of your hard disk ;)
