  • To prove it works I saw all the dirt on my string cleaner pads gather more and more each time.

  • how much does this cost?

  • @greendaynonfiction msrp is $12.99, but it's sometimes available for less through online stores like amazon, sam ash, musician's friend, etc.

  • I just got one today, and it's amazing. It made my old strings sound like new ones :D

  • Would I be able to use a cleaning solution on the pads, or is doing so unnecessary?

  • @CDI647 you could, but it's not necessary. If you use it after each playing, you shouldn't need any solution (especially if you use it in conjunction with new strings. then there will be no build up)

  • Just ordered one hope it helps me out. Does it remove rust? or just the gunk that causes it?

  • @JacobGeorge2011 Doesn't do so well with rust, more the gunk that causes it. It's best used to prevent major build up. If you put on a new set of strings, and use it after each playing, you'll get much longer life out of them

  • Cool idea. Now I dont have to stop eating chicken wings while I play guitar.

  • Wished you had one string cleaner for violins. The rosin stuck on the strings is a pain.

  • wow. i thought a 5 min video for a string cleaner would be boring, but it actually kept my attention. sounds cheesy, but who knew a string cleaner could be that complex?

  • all i want it to do is to make my strings shiny

  • it would be better with micro bibre ont the bottom rather than raw plastic it would clean the frets the same time

  • After watching this video i went straight out and bought 1 its a good product, the only thing i would say to make it alot better is if it had micro fibre on the bottom that runs along the fretboard rather that just plastic it would also clean the frets strings in 1.the plastic feels a little harsh on the frets.

  • i got a easyier cheaper way a ripped up Tshirt

  • Yep I to find it easier!

  • But have you ever tried our product?

  • I just got one of these not too long ago and it really works. I've had the same strings on since March if that says anything (the strings are D'Addario, so that probably helps too).

    Vital tool for any gutiarist.

And you really should clean it if you use it with some old ass rusty strings, you'll see why hahaha.

  • Dave,

Simply genius! I thought of something like this years ago but never followed through. Thanks for bringing this to market.

  • how much is this? I hope it isn't worth more than my guitar haha :p

  • Price is around $9.95 depending on the store and with proper care it should last upwards of 6 months.

  • WOW i saw that string cleaner on guitar world magazine and the same red Dot(i think) guitar

  • I think I'm going to get two of them so I can rotate them and always have one ready.

  • how many times should i rub the device up and down my bass will the bass one clean my 5 string

  • A couple of times should be enough. Tops 4 times.

  • elixir strings

  • seems to work OK

  • what about the micro fibre is there any chemicals in it.. or something we can add into it for better cleaning .. or do you suggest just the fibre itself is satisfactory enough?

i just bought it =D... very happy customer woo..

  • There are no chemicals on the micro fiber and you do not have to add any to it. It will do the work but I suggest you start with new strings when you get a new String Cleaner.

  • 2:57

    they're not clean,,

  • They should be clean. We've tested this product for over a year without any complaints.

  • is there a UK site to purchase this? or you deliver worldwide anyways?

second question. whats your recommendation on fretboard cleaning (noob question? i dont know. just incase as im a beginner .. what about cleaning the guitar as a whole. side an backs) just need recommendations i guess or any info as im a starter

  • Yes. Check with our UK Distributor "Westfield Music" on where to purchase.

  • Do they sell this in the Philippines? i really want one

  • true a normaly micro fiber would but since this locks over the strings it gets good presure ontop and on the bottom of the strings to clean them better. I am getting one a friend of mine uses it and it does help. Some people play their guitar 2-3 hours a day like me and after a practice like that your strings are dirty I have to change strings 2 times a month. And this will help me change that I hope.

  • does it harm the fret board?

  • Not at all.

  • what about the pickups?

  • No damage to them either.

  • they really revitalised my strings. Cool stuff.

  • Can u get in in Australia?

  • I wanted to order one of your string cleaners but the website I went to was not working right, however I bought a bottle of stringtreat, and I will try your website again tomoro ,,,cheers

  • sorry dave this wouldnt post right the last time I was here

  • a microfiber cloth would do the smae job

  • true your right

  • I use a sock and stringcleaner liquid :p
