  • Mizani has a Great Blow Out Video using their Supreme Oil - type Supreme Oil in Action - Coats to Protect from Damage

  • See you have to be careful when you go to a salon and get your hair straightened because if they dont know how to do it properly they will just make it their mission to beat the curl out!!! They dont have enough sense to think about if what they're doing is going to affect the curl pattern. Thus making your hair a nasty crossbreed of kink and straight. EEeerrrrr!! In my opinion, Do it yourself or only go to someone that you trust and they appreciate your hair.

  • OMG, I hope you didn't get that mark from a hair heating device. If so - that was assault with damage by whomever did that to you.

  • I was a year and some natural, and I straighened my hair often, I didn't revent to natural, So just recently, I cut it all off. now its growing more than before.

  • I don't think the lesson to take away from this is to beware of such-and-such salon. Based on the other women's comments it sounds like the take hold lesson is to NOT straighten your hair. Heat damage is usually cumulative. Meaning that most people don't have it after just one trip to the salon (that only happens occasionally). It frustrates me that so many naturals have shared their painful stories but many of us are stubborn and refuse to believe our hair won't revert as well. TAKE HEED!

  • i have some heat damage in the middle of my head its like really thin str8 hair i just dryed my hair and the str8 hair fell off so all thats left is the 2 inches of new growth it really sucks. thank God its not as noticeable but still

  • This has happened to me as well...

  • Yea and if you live in Philly...stay away from Lisa's Natural Hair Care. I cut the damaged ends off. The area that was damaged at the root...well I'm still letting it grow out slowly and chopping the ends off

  • I just did the same thing like 2 days ago. The entire front of my hair was so damaged that I just waited till it grew out a bit then cut some of it off. Some parts were damaged to the root so i'm just waiting to cut that too.

  • The same thing happen to me. To anyone who lives in Atlanta area, DO NOT GO TO 'SALON AMBIANCE'!!. It's located in Sandy Springs area.

  • I know these videos ares from months ago. But can we can an update! Did you ended up suing for the damagae done to your face & Hair. How is your face healing by the way

  • Are you going to re-cut your hair to fix the damage?

  • wow im gonna think twice before i go to the salon to straighten my hair now.

  • i do hair and this is why i don't get my hair pressed to often by just anybody, because one, most stylist use WAY to much HEAT and two because after pressing your natural hair for so many years your hair is trained to change the original curl pattern most stylist won't tell you that or will argue that fact but it is true. if u get it done to often the curl pattern may change but in ur case she used way to much heat and not the right technique

  • Hi there...So what can she do becuz I'm in the same situation. We can't cut our hair at the root. Will our hair grow out of this straight look; will return back to its normal state?

  • I know this is an old clip, but holy crap, I cannot believe that hairdresser did that! I do my own hair, I no longer let others do my hair because of the salon visit from hell. I went to a salon, moved out of state the next day, and the woman never bothered to tell me that she had burnt off a portion of my hair! Did she think that I wouldn't notice that there was a lock of two inch hair at the top of my head, when I have waist length hair?! I hope your hair is in a better state now.

  • You should tell everyone the name of the salon so that we would know not to ever go there at all, lol, she could really lose business becuase of that.

  • yea she only took off $10...crazy right?

  • oh my goodness did you still have to pay her sorry that happened to you

  • Oh, no!!! Dear God! I am so sorry that this happened to you. I think we all can relate to a bad hot comb experience or two in our lifetime. Thanks for the reminder to us all. I hope you're doing better.

  • The same thing happened to pretty much half of my head. I was in the shower crying. I had to cut it all off.

  • Sorry to hear that...It's like losing a part of yourself, isn't it? lol It's a shame that hair means so much to me.

  • This is good video for those who don't realize what heat damage will do...thanks for sharing.

  • that happened to my hair too -- I just do double strand twists and flat twists until it grows out. Stay strong!! That happened to my last January so I am slowly cutting off the straight parts.
