My goal is to always try to think up the funniest or most fitting name for my Pokemon. It's funny at first, and soon I get used to my Pokemon's name, like Heartburn my Blaziken on Emerald.
I get mine from anime characters, game characters, who owned it in the show (if it's one of the gang's Pokemon), Disney characters, American cartoon characters, and foriegn languages
has anyone ever epiced together the notes about mewtwo in the burnt mansion? and also on the memorial on one of the other islands its 5th or 6th i think there is a memorial for a guys onix named tectonix and it sounded familiar was that a name used in an episode at some point in the series?
I always ALWAYS take this way. It's the easiest way for me..and I'm too lazy so a straight surf is rather nice. =]

I like nicknaming mine because I feel it gives them a little uniqueness. You are not required to nickname yours.
