Dude! FREAKING PERFECT VIDEO!!!! I've gotta say, out of all the interpreted music videos ive seen on this site...this one is by far the best, and that really says alot when its made for an Eplosions In The Sky video....this is just awesome, It matches the sond almost perfectly.
....just awesome....like, a million thumbs up dude!
one of the best if not THE best video i have seen made to a song.
keep making more!!! please. especially to explosions in the sky. their music is so open to interpretation and i love what you have done, you covered existence, almost, in a nutshell.
Incredible. Really inspiring. I kinda wish you had lined up the video with the music a little more. You did it in some spots, but the emphasis points could have been maximized.
Overall, it was beautiful. It reminds me of either a dream, where the mind just organizes all the random information it has taken in, or someone's life flashing before their eyes. Either way it is artful. You should think about extending the video to fit the entire song. It might be arduous, but well worth it. Well Done
I don't know what else your doing with your life, but you need to make more vids like this. Best thing I've seen in a while. Like the opening of a dream.
Very Nice job. I was emotionally moved by this. Some of my favorite films and filmmakers are represented too- Brakhage, Maya Deren, Microcosmos, 2001- and the old science films. This is exactly the kind of film that inspired me to make "Li".
Seems like you recognise the song as the rebirth of life, that's a pretty good idea!I've got the same feeling as you~~
You've been using many materials ranging from films, educational videos and even cartoons(quite funny though) and made it perfectly combined,I appreciate that!
beautiful sensitivity to that which we have trouble expressing with words. and to incorporate pieces of 'window water baby moving' so naturally. well done. what is the name of the brakhage film where he gets footage dipping the camera lens into water?
I think it's "Dogstar Man," but I can't remember anymore (I was finding so much wonderful footage on his Criterion DVD that it became difficult to keep track of what I was watching)... any Brakhage fans want to correct me?
"Window Water Baby Moving was always my favorite Brakhage. It was the first experimental film that I really liked.
There certainly was a lot of time watching the Mac compress things... but thankfully, myself and some friends had actually found and compiled a lot of this footage for VJing purposes already, so it wasn't too bad.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. You can watch another film of mine (that I actually shot my own footage for!) at bkahn (dot) weebly (dot) com. Under the 'my films' tab.
