What is more reasonable, a God of infinite love who not only allows, but essentially created sin and hell, or a God of infinite love, who in her love never even entertained the idea of sin and hell.
The idea that a God who commands genocide (including the killing of infants) could be loving at all is preposterous.
I am more compassionate than that God, I'm more loving than that God, I am more righteous than that God, because that God doesn't exist.
how can ANY "Christian" HATE sin IF they STILL sin - You guys play FAST and LOSE with the language - DEFINE "practice of sin" vs "season of sin" HOW can ANY believer be "restored gently" if he/she was NEVER in ADDICTED to a sin or sins - "pick up your cross DAILY" is BIBLE reading ?
To all those who are brand new Christians & those who have been justified by faith please DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS GARBAGE! This is a religous spirit & has led many to doubt their salvation, exchange their faith which satan is greatly after for a lie, to "prove" your saved via Washer, Piper, Macarthur & the like. Keep your Armor on please!!! I have videos that challenge these heretical teachings of TULIP Calvinism, Armenianism & the like The wrath Washer is exhibiting is not of God but of the flesh
Not everyone is elect Sometimes you can pray unto bleeding it won't make a difference. What happens if she came back and God did not save?God is not a format Sometimes He is meek and quick sometimes slow and painful.Formats are man made and cliches are for personal pride and uniqueness
what other sign is there that God saves and wants and works the salvation for a person other than the fact the the persons becomes desperate to find God? Because what and who makes a person look for God? Another Person, and the is, the Holy Spirit! be blessed
So ONCE Salvation REALLY OCCURS Christians NEVER Repeat The SAME Sin -
*
So a REAL Christian NEVER speeds again, NEVER looks at porn again, NEVER swears again, NEVER over eats again, NEVER snaps with a nasty attitude again NEVER spends selfishly, NEVER thinks a carnal thought again
@scottidee No, this is not true. What is true is that a regenerated person no longer PRACTICES sin. They HATE their sin. However, we are still in the flesh and scripture teaches us that the flesh wars against the Spirit. However, if one SERVES sin (practices it----it's STILL their character), I would truly question whether someone was really born again. I John speaks of "if" we sin, we have an advocate (Jesus) with the Father. So, we CAN sin, but we do not WANT to sin--nor do we SERVE sin.
ArmonAika is right...salvation is NOT some superficial prayet that you say to get saved...a prayer and believing wat jesus did for u and me...and repenting and departing ourselfs from the things the LORD is against....yes its hard...if jesus gave his life for u wat do you give in return???u give up cursin??give up lies?? if he died for u why not give him urs??simplicity at its best...HE WANTS OUR HEARTS-A PURE HEART!godbless
pw has people thinking that they must have a certain feeling b4 they can get saved. just listen to all his salvation stories. its always someone coming to him like he's the standard. i think the hardest part about salvation is its simplicity. its so easy to get saved (God made it that way because He doesnt want you to go to hell) I didn't want to believe it either. but its simplicity comes from the infinite mercy and grace and love of God.
What did Jesus say? "Repent, and believe the gospel" You dont have to have "the right feeling" before you can get saved. Anyone who is thirsty may come and drink, but the problem is that none of us can or want to come to God. Because of sin, we have to be drawn by the Father. And i think that when He draws we are convicted of our sin. Salvation is not some "superficial" prayer that you say to get saved.
Jhn 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Nobody can believe until God draws them to Christ & reveals to their heart that the Gospel is true. It's a false teaching to say that people can suddenly just decide to believe something that is supernatural like the Gospel. The Holy Spirit has to prick their heart and reveal the Truth, & that's what she was crying out to God to do. God convicts of sin & reveals Christ.
Well, she had heard the Word of God all her life and was unable to believe it with her whole heart, which is the case for many people. I did not get saved by hearing the Word of God preached. I was home alone, I had not been anywhere near a church for over 15 years, but God drew me by bringing me under conviction until I was crying out to him for help, & then He revealed Christ to me on the Cross, & told me the only Way to Him was to believe the Gospel, which He enabled me to do.
Begging before the lord would be exactly what we should do. We are evil before the Lord and we deserve hell. Begging God too save us is what we should do no?
@JermarParker That's how I got saved. 2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. Repent and believe, not just believe.
You don't have to be burdened to do the works which is expression of your faith if its not the right time, if God has not spoken through His Son to you that your sins are forgiven.First salvation, from that relationship with God and then faith and then works .
i am not saved yet but i think this is the way it should happen.
"Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only." James 2:14. If we are saved by faith alone, what does this verse mean. I really am struggling with this if anyone can help. Doesn't God give us works to do and through His grace we can do them to His pleasure?
If we deny the works aren't we denying our salvation?
If you belief yourself saved, ask yourself, "has my God saved me from my sin or merely the wages of sin - that is eternal death?" If you have trouble with the answer, run to God for the answer, and He being the perfect Shepherd and by His Holy Spirit you will be lead into the truth of this matter.
'HonourTheHolyOne", that verse from James echoes something Jesus said:
"If you love you you will obey what I command." Also:"Whoever loves me will obey my teaching."
You will find both those quotes in John chapter 14. The Bible also says "By their fruits you will know them."
When we come to faith, we are saved from sin by grace. To then show this grace and devotion to Christ, we do good works, not that these works are what save us, but these things testify to our faith to God and men.
thank the lord for men like paul washer! im only 13 and i never prayed the "sinners prayer" but just one day i just seen a movie about the lord and he was on his way to the cross and i seen how much he was suffering. i said to myself "wow god did all this for me and im over here living like the devil. that night the lord really opened my heart and i was in my room crying out to god asking him to forgive me.
At about 7:40 Paul Washer begins explaining one of the key problems with "Religion". Many of the folks in the front row every Sunday are following a "set of rules" in an attempt to earn their Salvation. Whoever keeps the most rules are the best Christians (in their minds). Religious "rules" are given by well meaning men but are from the pit of Hell! God Bless Paul Washer and the true Gospel.
I prayed the so-called "sinner's prayer" literally 100's of times. It never worked. After a while I just ended up doing what preachers told me to do to get them to go away. 2 years ago God, in His timing, changed my heart. Now He is cleaning me out. All those things displeasing to Him He is oing away with and I love it.
I prayed the sinners prayer in 1993. After that, it was a roller coaster ride of fervent faith and backsliding. Jesus still continues to change my heart. It is a never ending process until we are called home. I am glad that He is patient with me....a hopeless sinner.
Wow, what has happened to our theology? Paul Washer was right when he said something among the lines of, "American Christianity deserves to be made fun of." It deserves such ridicule cuz with our twisted "theology" we've inoculated so many ppl. How sad :(
Yes, Christianity in America is too cushy. Living in our own comfort zone. Being a 1st world country, we have disensitized by material affluence not experiencing how people in other countries feel, e.g. earning $2 a day or living under a bridge. We don't feel the need becaue we are not in want. Somethimes, it is easier to look to God when we don't have much...poor in money and in spirit. That just proves that wealth will never fill an empty heart designed to be filled by Jesus Christ.
There is a difference between a supernatural power that God is doing in my life AND my own will of dealing with sins because of Jesus Christ. These Two are different which explains what Paul described as "0.1% of works can't get u to heaven"
Have God done a Supernatural thing in my life? Or am i obeying Him out of my own will, of course I do believe Jesus is Lord, but practically in my heart...how does it prove I really believe?
What Paul said was so so true.God must first tear us down and break our hearts so we can see our sin through God's eyes, when this happens we may truly see God's holiness and realize just how awesome He truly is and why it is imperative that we put Him before all things in our life.Only when this happens can we feel the peace that can't be understood.
You guys need to hear right, from the minute 5:05 to 5:14, dear JermarPark he says that believing in Jesus Christ you are saved.

"Repent and sin no more"-
but it is a process, it takes prayer, renunciation of your old habits and sins, reading your Bible...
that is why we are told:
"pick up your cross DAILY"-
whenever you sin, now you KNOW when you do it, and repent and ask for forgiveness immediately. No more excuses. Praise Jesus!
