Can't believe some people think Halo 2 was the best Halo ever made... a good video game shouldnt need a movie and books to make it have a good story. its kool if the story of the video game is good and then like there are spin offs and an Extended Universe, but halo as a video game does not have a good story line. the only reason i liked halo back when i was like 12 was because the plasma grenades looked sweet, i swear. and it showed off what next gen graphics (at that time) could look like.

i think the assault rifle is much better than the dual SMG, because with the dual SMB you can't really throw grenades, or actually melee, with the assault rifle it's much easier without dropping the darn weapon (witch you need to find again, pretty annoying).

Gears is a good game, but that's not really comparable to spending nights playing Halo with 3 good friends on a tiny screen. The only reason Gears ever looked better was in the "fuzz filters" which added a bit of realistic film blur and it's light blooms and world lighting, which in sense made it look slightly better or more realistic. But for a game like Halo, I truly couldn't give a damn how movie realistic it looks, I want it as sharp as possible to snipe that guy way off in the distance.
