  • Hey...where is the amazing bass run that is SUPPOSED to be at 1:55?

  • Does anyone have any videos from there Woodstock 1994 performance

  • I want the 90's back in a bad way now :-) Thanks!

  • Lol. Ya the 90s and my high school years back would be nice. haha good music.

  • What a fuckin' jam!

  • The movie in this I believe is Kingpin for anyone whos interested. One of my fav songs by one of my fav bands.

  • hey john, i want my 300.00 for not paying your bill. Thanks for walkin out of the bar without paying your tab. Chicago....

  • Did that really happen?

  • i miss the 90's....

  • man i love a good harmonica sound. nothing better

  • Luv the harmonica. Great band!

  • I love John Popper, If he's not chubby, it isnt right!! Thanks for answering my quiestion, That is Denise Richards! Jason London did an Aerosmith video too"amazing " Wheres Johnny Depp as "Eddie Rebel"?

  • Very good!

  • This is going to sound like a stupid question... but is the singer from Blues traveler - poppa chubby?

  • king pin was the best movie ever ^^

  • I've been learning harmonica for about two years now and of course Popper is god. I can play almost all of this but listen to the speed of the notes at 2:30 to 2:50. It's like a kid learning the guitar and confronting Jimmy Page's solo on Heartbreaker. There's just no freaking way anyone could play notes that fast. cheers John. Great song and great harp playing

  • i'm a harmonica player too

    it's the truth

    he's god O_o

  • Such an awesome band! Its just a shame that not many people have ever heard of them

  • Just seen then last sunday very small crowd was in the first couple of rows John is the best harmonica player ever caught one of his harmonicas fucking awesome

  • john popper is dead so you lie

  • Uh, no he's not.

  • dude,......this mother fucker can rip on that harmonica. FUCKING makes me wanna cry man.

  • JOHN POPPER IS THE FUCKING MAN

  • wow, tell me that the guitar player isn't influenced by jimi hendrix from 1:46 to 1:49, or just that solo ending in general, what an awesome song

  • This movie is GREAT! Bill Murrays hair kills me. I might have to pop it in the DVD player now!

  • John looks so much better these days, since he's become literally HALF the man that he used to be!!

  • popper is god

  • Hilarious video and movie. Great song!! Big man can really blow..One of the best in the world. Rock on guys!

  • Wonderful! (Also, the movie Kingpin was really cute and funny. This song was the feel-good windup song, and that was really cute and funny.) John Popper sure can write lots of different kinds of songs.

  • Blues Traveler. SO BROOT4L.

  • Who crowd surfs at blues traveler?

  • I slammed danced at one of their concert at the palace in 91ish. Great set, great time.

  • i sure as hell would.

  • I just watched Kingpin. Great movie. Also, great song. I love them.

  • I went to their show last night and this was the third song played. They were still gods on the stage, and the song was to the note, just as it was above. Over 10 years later and they still have the touch. John looks better though, he has cleaned up and the surgeries have helped.

  • whats the deal with the frontman.....? i thought i heard somthing a while ago about how they found guns n shit in his trunk , does anyonw know what the outcome of that was?

  • All the guns were legally registered. They did find a small amount of pot though, so that's all he got charged for, not a huge deal, people just made it seem that way because of the guns. Popper collects firearms, he even has a real working cannon. Kinda strange if you ask me, but to each his own I guess.

  • He was arrested with guns (that he all owned, and was registered for), and a small amount of drug paraphenlia and weed. He was released that night.

  • found this tape yesterday, now i gotta download all there stuff, lol

  • Man that Harmonica solo at the end was amazing ..i love these guys.

  • obrigado chasedpm!

    entrei na sua pagina!ok!

  • que filme é esse?

  • Kingpin

  • I looked it up, there are no reference to links between television waves and eye cancer.

  • hai visto il film????

  • This is a great song from such a great band! The movie Kingpin was alright, I dont' know why it didn't take off. Very funny though......

  • Man, Bobby Sheehan was an astonishingly good melodic Bass player. So sad to see him go so soon.

    RIP Bobby...

  • "what is it about good sex that makes you gotta crap!? you really jarred something loose tiger" lmao

  • Amazing band and great song.

  • What's with all the clips from Kingpin?

  • they play this at the end of the film there the amish people

  • Watch the movie and all will be made clear. ;)

  • this song was in that movie, so was the band

  • Forget about the harp the guitars ROCK,PERIOD>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • I love these guys whatever other people think. I saw B.T. reopen the fillmore in 1994 a week before the headline at Laguna Seca Daze.

  • I went to there concert in campbell yesterday and it was amazing

  • That's awesome, I didn't know they were still touring. I'd pay just about anything to go to one of their shows.

  • They are playing a free show in Albany, NY tomorrow.

  • best harmonica i've ever heard

  • popper is the harmonica KING

  • truly...truly the best song ever created

  • i dont play harmonica and im telling you john popper has alot of talant cause he can play the shit out of it lol

  • They were just hot at the time. I don't think the Farrrellys have used any of their stuff since. Now Cake, on the other hand.....

  • Lil On the high parts, sure. But if you hear both over time, u will hear they are worlds apart.

  • Sounds like this guy could just go out and play "One Week"

  • Nope, not the same guy. I can hear a bit of a similarity in their voices though, so I see where you're coming from. Or should I say hear?

  • LOL John reminds me of Franklin Enwright LOL from Texas Chainsaw Massacre I (1976). Of course though less irritating, and nice to listen to. I haven't seen any recent pictures of him, glad to hear he's lost a lot of weight.

  • Hey is that Chris Barron of the Spin Doctors in the crowd shot at about 1:05?

  • It was awesome when I 1st heard it on the radio as a teenager & all these years later it still kicks magor assets!

    Sincerely

    Joshua

  • I think John Popper was better when he was overwieght. Blues Traveler is awesome.

  • john has his own arsenal of weapons for WWIII. He rules!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great song + movie!!!

  • Haha sick...kingpin

  • mr popper soal knows no looks keep the heat on you are in stride keep it up sir

  • I agree!!! had the pleasure of seeing them too in the early 90's. just amazing!

  • I can't believe how much weight John's lost.

  • good tune

  • BT- Best group ever, 2 bad I never got 2 hear them live. That Harp is awesome, man i wish i could do that. BRING BACK BT, John Popper!!!

  • Harp or harmonica, this guy is awesome. I don't know the technicalities of this instrument, but it features very much in our local live music venue, my bro in law being a great "harp" player himself. He says the guy is fantastic and that's good enough for me.

  • she didnt care but anyway!

  • Omg listen to him tear that Harmonica xD beautiful

  • Fucking love Blues Traveler. Gotta get some of their more lesser-known CD's.

  • yeah dude that bass solo is so sweet man but the song as a whole just makes you feel so fuckin happy...

I defy you to not smile at that tune.

    yes mate!

  • SUCKS they cut out the part when they let the bass player groove SUCKS

  • Not really Bro. Billy "grooved" all of the time on every song, every show, on every recording.

    R.I.P. Billy

  • Sorry. I'm high. It's Bobby... LOL

  • lol im high too but if u didnt notice that spot i was talking about was meant for the bass player to groove on. most songs yes the bass player lays down a sweet groove but at that point the bass was supposed to be the center of attention and jam away. there is a guitar solo harmonica solo then the bass doin his thing.

  • You mean the UniversalOverlords allow this video to remain on YouTube? Or is it only their songs on their channel?

  • Yep, harp is just an alternate name for the harmonica. Not to be confused with the giant stringed instrument. I don't know why, but that what's most players call it (that or blues harp), maybe because it sounds cooler than calling it harmonica.

  • amazing

  • gotta love that harmonica riff

  • i wan to be able to play harmonica like him one day that would be asome .

  • i play harmonica i taught myself...i idolize his harmonica playing i would also like to be as good as him hes the best harmonica player ever :)

  • As much as I like john popper's playing, I definately wouldn't even put him in the top ten greatest harmonica players. Top 20 would still be a pretty big stretch.

  • dude your crazy u must not listen to much harmonica to know that he is one of the best possibly the best

  • I actually have a vast collection of harp music, and have listened to a wide array of different players. Many people think he's the best because he plays quickly. Although when he plays that fast he's just sliding around to surrounding holes with fast breathing patterns. Much like doing trills or glisses. Not to say this is easy, it's not. But there are players, such as Howard Levy, who can plays just as fast while incorporating overblows. I've never once even heard Popper use an overblow.

  • 2:10 Skip is that you?

  • these guys are awesome

  • they really did a munson on that one,.... j/k little kingpin humor, i love blues traveler, he made me want to play the harp

  • this song is called state of emotion not but anyway

  • seeing as how this song was put up by the recording company...they might know the name of it...before they put it up...:o)

  • I'm looking at the cd cover. It's called "But Anyway." It's also called "But Anyway" on their live album.

  • UGH.... mis-education... It is to called "But Anyway", where the hell do you get your facts from?

  • what are you talking about? no its not

  • lmaooo u jus got shut down dude

  • Its kind of sad tht you think the record company does not know their own song

  • you been SERVED

  • really??? I think you may be in a state of crack induced, hallucinogenic spasm.

  • If I'm not mistaken, this is the first video that includes a puke scene. I only wish it had been the fat guy spewing all over the people in the front row!

  • whats the bassists name i think hes one of the best blues/rock bass players ever

  • bobby sheehan. sucks cause he died of an OD in 1999. And no he is not related to billy sheehan or fran sheehan

  • I was thinking the same thing .. I play Bass and just love listening to this song cuz of the bass lines.

  • by being a bass player you can really appreciate his bass lines, i think they make there songs..... and of coarse the harmonica.

  • THEY CUT OUT BOBBY'S SOLO!!!! WHY?!

  • Cause they always gives us bass players the shaft!

  • at 51 seconds I think that's Eddie Izzard...

  • 0:36>>he is adorable!!

  • DONT MESS WITH THE TRAVELER.

  • is there any blues travelers songs similar to the song but anyway? mostly in johns voice in this song it haves asound that is not ther in his later music that i find.

  • John has actually lost a lot of weight in recent years. He's looking pretty good these days.

  • he's gained some back since he first lost it all but he's still a lot thinner than he was in the 90's

  • Yeah he lost a lot of weight cause he had one of those stomach staple operations where they make it smaller and u lose weight fast as fuck cause u dont eat as much.

  • yeah he had a gastric bypass i think

  • John Popper is so big because he's full of fat. Not like that has anything to do with his incredible skill but...

  • John Popper is so big cuz' he's packed so full of Soul!

  • was it Kingpin? Dancing Amish are always funny

  • Thanks ansonrotola for the name of that movie. I just saw it early this AM and heard this song at the end. Bill Murray was in the flick and it was pretty good. It DID have to do with bowling, so "Kingpin" sounds like the probable title.

  • wow i heard this song at the end of a movie and it ROCKED!

this song is too cool... does anyone have the Mp3 of it, if so please send it too me Thanks

  • wow i lurve dis song woo hooo:)

  • R.I.P. Bobby Sheehan.... great bassist. You will be missed.

  • aw i love blues traveler, i love their unique sound, nobody can ever top them!!!!!!

  • best hermonica player ever

  • agreed.

  • big fan of blues traveler and john popper and a harmonica player myself,he has a nice style but he is far from the best harp player, not even close youtube harmonica there are tons of guys better than he is,no dis-respect intended

  • This is the only Blues Traveler song that I can ALMOST do justice on the harp.

  • Kingpin is my all time favorite movie!! I also love blues traveler

  • 1:38

    The Moshing Amish.

  • I agree with greenskinnymarker.

  • John Popper is a god among men. Truly the Hendrix of the harmonica

  • Agreed he has skills on the harmonica this song especially.
