  • very inspiring bro !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Song please

  • Excellent view "behind the scenes" Dan. I'm retired now so have time to play more ( I have been making GIF animation for years and now hope to try some Stopmotion stuff.

It is so helpful to see the number of takes and also interesting to read you didn't do any rotoscoping but did side to side comparisons instead.

  • Amazing humain mvement

  • You make great videos. I hope you make some more, they're so AWESOME!

  • when da glove grabs his leg it says "You've caught my leg instead"

  • beautiful animations. Very Smooth, Very good. Amazing job

  • (^ PLEASE add this to the walk cycle challenges on stopmotionmagic. if you don't I will..

    (^>prosser

  • very well done!

  • very amazing. can see an improvement from the beginnning to the end

  • nice, you never cees to amaze any of us

  • You really know how to capture motion like flawlessly. Amazing. Keep it up. :)

  • really really nice footage, pretty dam inspiring too. The walk and the flip seem pretty much perfect. Did you do any onion skinning with the original footage to get such similar results, or was it just by eye?

  • Thanks Max! I didn't rotoscope or anything the footage directly, but did side by side compare each frame to see it was matching up.

  • Thats what I assumed, I'm gonna need to start doing that for my course soon.

  • What is the song?

  • Sweater Poorly Knit by mewithoutYou

  • wow. very VERY nice work dudee. smooth motion in all of the work. armatures are hard to work with but you worked them like a pro. keep them coming man

  • that flip was sweet

  • great animation, what wire and clay do you use

  • Awesome! How'd you make that intro?

  • Wow, extremely impressive, especially the walk and the flip. Actions like those take a massive amount of patience. :P

  • You are really getting good!

Where are you taking this Stop Motion 1 class?

  • Thank you! At Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Georgia.

  • when I make armatures i used plumbers epoxy.

But i've heard good things about propoxy. what would you say about propoxy? and can you get it at a normal hardware store like plumbers epox?

  • It's technically just a different brand of plumbers epoxy, it's just easier to smooth out and I hear stronger. Sadly haven't tried many other brands.

  • Excellent exercises!

  • THANK GOD a new mackpro animation...man what have u been doing?

  • Great movement in your animation, very fluid. Can see the growth in your body of work. Keep it up!

  • Thanks a lot!

  • Very cool! The animation reflects all the effort put into it!

  • getting awesome man!

  • dude....wow

i love watching your claymations! inspiring

  • great work yet again Mackenzie, if this is your practice, cant wait for your final project!!! keep up the great work!!!

  • I would LOVE to see more animation like this from you!

  • nice, so you took 2,880 pictures to make this movie? Dang that must take a long time.

  • 2 questions:

    1. at 1:45 i see you a thing to support the clay. how do you take it away in the editing?

    2. what editing/filming program do you use?

  • awesome!

  • My god sir that is simply fantastic!

  • The walk was recorded in 24 fps, so it was fine, and the flip ref. was converted from 30 to 24, so yeah losing a few frames. It still flows fine.

  • This is awesome!

  • NICE!! luv it!

  • Yep, all animation taught here is 24 fps. That's animation speed! Haha.

  • Wow nice one, love the realism in this, the flip looked great.

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!±!

wat incredible movement walk is so real

  • Really well done on this, such realistic looking movement. How long did this take to shoot?

  • Thankya, most shots took about 3 hours each.

  • Ouch!, Well done anyway, this was really nicely made and so smooth.

  • great stuff, once again dan :)

  • I swear, if I didn't know better, I'd think that armature was alive.

  • Cool! What's the rig mad out of? A small piece of 2x4 screwed in the grouind with what kind of metal wire stuck in the armature's hip?

  • wow what incredible movement. that is really impressive. the walk is so.. REAL

  • the flip at the end is great!!!

  • amazing realistic stuff! keep up the brilliant work!

  • awesome !! so many questions ... fps, material's, can they stand up on their own ? thanks for the 2 min's of entertainment 5 *****

  • They all look really great. You seem to be getting better and better by the minute!

  • keep up the amazing work

  • wow

  • Whoa, you've really gotten good at this!

"Winter Attack" was really good, but this looks professional

It's really smooth, and all of the actions are very lifelike

I especially like the walk cycle, it's very powerful

I can't wait to see your first full project with your newly acquired skills

By the way, is the armature made out of plumber's epoxy?

  • Thank you! Yeah I still love winter attack, but I've learned so much since making that almost 4 years ago. Yep, twisted armature wire and Propoxy 20 plumbers epoxy. It's nice to not have to resculpt the clay after every frame, haha.

  • This is really awesome!

  • I've never seen an armature to a flip before, it was cool. :P

  • Hey thanks! Yeah that was my favorite one.

  • 1ST COMMENT 1ST VIEW! THAT ROX!

Anyway, you rock. Wish i could do clay animation like you. :D
