'm not sure if you fuckers realize this, but its not a long box chassis anymore!! It is a SHORTBOX FRAME NOW!!! I cannot put the old box back on it. This box works awesome, its WAY more sturdy then the regular box, the mud does not hang up in it like the old one, and for those of you that do not understand, mud that hangs up in the truck adds weight, more weight slows you down.
So, yes I know it looks alittle weird, but I will not be putting on a different box, I do not care if you think I ruined the truck, it aint yours. I am workin towards having a lightning fast mud racer, not a show truck, and after all the work I did this past winter, guess what, its faster. If you dont like it, too bad, you wouldnt get much of a look at it in person either before you'd be eatin mud chunks!!

It'll be easier to clean too - won't have to worry much about rust.. putting the fenders on the back or gonna leave it that way?? Might go with some Jeep style flat fenders instead of the typical ones ...
I forgot to mention that extreme diesel might hav a lead on some sticky meats if you haven't got a pair in mind or lined up just yet. Talk to Curtis as he runs a set of track tires for his turbo dodge pickup...maybe he'd let you try them out for a pass?

If you had a lower stall like..3000ish you could probably do it, that by the look of your launch, you'd be taking out a couple of ujoint and/or driveline on the track in 4wd lol and perhaps run out of gear too.
What size of stall are you running? Guessing 3600-up?
@32bitcal I would only try the track in 2wd, the front axle would explode if I did this on dry pavement LOL. The slicks would have to be ATLEAST 33", with a 5.13 gear it would only be good for a 1/8th mile pass. I run a 5000 stall.
I know this will ruffle some feathers, buuuuut... Have you ever considered try your truck on a 1/8mile drag strip or maybe a 200' shootout? I'd love to see the look on the faces of competition haha
@32bitcal I've been wanting to try it for a long time, but I would need some decent slicks on the back, as I would not run it in 4x4 on a paved track. If everything goes well, I may have a chance to try it this fall.

It should be faster now cause of the softer suspention, however being shorter will hurt you a bit. Still a lot better then the old truck lol. Should ride much better too!
also it looks like its street legal now LOL as long as the hieght is legal you should run it around the streets and burn some of those pussy ass ricers off the road somtimes :P
idk about the short bed. most of the mud drags are kool and all. but its all about style. and that box makes the truck look weird. im more of an original kind of guy with my ford. always keep it as much original on the outside. think about style. ^^ thats my opinion :D. dont matter though
