  • their costumes somewhat seems like south east countries. this song's rhythm somewhat reminds me of burmese, khmer tone too..(i'm korean so i don;t know both side so well, but from outsider's perspcective indeed assamese culture seemed to have some simillarity with east asian conries. seemed to be very different from Bollywood or Hindustani culture which we outsider mainly contact and generalize it as 'Indian') no offence ^^

  • @icylakepaxphile Yup you are correct...India is very big and extremely diverse. Bollywood mainly represents North-India culture i.e of Hindi & Punjabi speaking people. In Indian dances and music you get glimpse of almost all the major cultures in the World be it East Asia, Persian,Western, Arabic etc. Check out my channel, it has some collection of Indian classical and folk dances in two folders:)

  • @icylakepaxphile ,

India is basically a land of six cultures and there interaction : Indo-European, SE Asian, Dravidian, Persio-Arabic and Central Indian and Himalayan........

Thats why all languages/cultures have all there influences...... and thats what makes it a great civilization.....you can find India everywhere......and everyone in India !!

btw.... in my language we use "Amma" and "Appa" like Korean and we are from the South !! ;)

  • India has been influenced by all cultures in Eurasia........similarly it has Indian languages/culture/spirituality has influenced all countries of Asia.....

India was a kind of melting pot (like US now) of the ancient world........

  • @anant14 I do admire your elegant countenance…Regards

  • im bengali, our languages are similar. i find this beautiful

  • although i dont understand this song ,but music is very beautiful .

i will definitely come to see beautiful assam :)

    mayank

    new delhi

  • Actually, I tell you people are wee bit of jealous of Assam just like they are jealous of Kerala. They {the self esteeming types} want everybody to be in the same filthy pile.

    But things are progressing and they are slowly coming out of their pit mentality. Good to have states like Kerala and Assam to INSPIRE them to decency {cleanliness is a good case in point}

  • People in Delhi think that is what there is to the whole of india. India is big, really big.

  • i like very much so beautiful songs

  • I think the whole of India is missing lot of things from the north-eastern states...

  • Dam I gotta say this is very nice

  • same kind of dance in all songs..lol

  • Assamese girls are so grageful and beautiful. The guy look somewhat gay though. lol

  • Nice Cultural Monument Events..........

  • Their outfits are very nice.

  • Even though I come from the South, TamilNadu, I have a special affinity for everything Assamese. I just love the songs, and the dances - such grace! I was fortunate to have visited the state twice when I was in the University. I miss the place. Now living in London, it's all so nostalgic and stirs those sweet memories when I listen and watch these lovely Assamese songs. Great stuff.

  • Thanksssss

  • @kks555 yeah, i can imagine. i am also in Delhi and i miss assam. i will never forget a place in guwahati call Nijora par. we had a lil stream flowing behind our house. and hills and noonmati and bihu

  • does any1 know whr i can download this song from???

  • waths the name of the assamese movie here?

  • isnt it bihu?

  • ya its bihu dance

  • you r correct

  • i am not an assamese but i am mad for Bihu, it is one of the best form of song in India. english translation is imatterial if u have a sense to understand......

  • A real English is required!!!!! Else the so called local translator is ruining the beauty and sweetness of BIHU.

So either don't put the subtitle or go for a professional translator..

    PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
