This was the one performance I was hoping would get her the 2nd Best Actress Oscar. It would have complemented her 1st Best Actress win...the intense, heartbreakingly tragic Sophie, in Sophie's Choice. This spot on transformation into Julia Child and a FUNNY performance too.

I love the clip they chose. Man, the way she says "...that's what I like to do..." then the laughter. What a joy to watch, cracks me up. Thank you for this clip

I just saw this movie Meryl is delightful and did a wonderful job. This generation does not know about the great Julia Child I watched her when I was growing up. This movie makes me want to get that cookbook and try some recipes. Lovely movie

Oh my, I love this woman! And that is really interesting, so when she was a younger actress she had movies like The Deer Hunter, Sophie's Choice, Cry in The Dark etc. so mostly criticly acclaimed films, and now, The Devil Wears Prada, Mamma Mia!, and this one, she rocks at the box office! This is so cool!

Meryl Streep is fabulous in this movie. They really did have a good time making it, and you could tell. She's more a composite of Julia; as Meryl Streep says, she's a "figment" of Julie's idea of what Julia is like. It's a great escape! I hope she gets an Oscar, for it, or nominated.
