Old now but not only is Mills a fabulous DJ he has made some cracking CD's as well. Nice analogue melodies and textures and that balance between being very cold and sci-fi with being very warm as well. Really varied stuff on it. Ah I'm damming with faint praise - a classic. Go and buy.

This is a very nice sound track made by jeff, being one of the rare and near extiction black techno legends, it's a shame his works will never see the big screen, shame on the lang family for not accepting his work.

Fritz lang was the guy who directed Metropolis it has been rumored that his family members did not approve of Jeff Mill's sound track to the movie.

It has actually been shown a few times in theaters. I saw it in Melbourne (Australia) back in 2000 or 2001. Mills introduced the film and discussed the ideas and vision he had in recutting the film and creating the new soundtrack. Needless to say, it was amazing.

I was fortunate enough to see Jeff performing his soundtrack to Metropolis live with the movie several years back at the Rotal festival hall in London. Fantastic. Where did you get this clip ? I understand Fritz Lang`s family were not eager for him to release his version..shame !
