  • Not better or worse. Just newer sounding.

  • Jack skelington!

  • And anyone who says this is better than the original just doesn't get Boingo. That's the kind of band Oingo Boingo is. You either get it or you don't.

  • Very nice. I'm a huge Boingo fan and I have to say this is really the only good cover I've heard of em.

  • Excellent. Exactly what a cover should be.

  • Long Live Danny Elfman!I think he is probably quite happy with this remake. A Thorn for Every Heart has done a Great Job reviving this classic Oingo Boingo tune! Maybe they can do Oingo Boingo's "Just Another Day" next.

  • You know what Boingo had that no one seems to think is important anymore? Irony, humility.. humor... Punk is too angry and serious, at least the way this cover band did it. No fun...

  • needs more trombones and electronic organs. but it's an okay cover in my opinion.

  • I LOVE this version

  • WOW, SINGER FUCN NAILED THE ELFMAN SOUND ON THIS ONE

  • people need to calm down. everything danny elfman touches is golden, that's a fact. this band isn't trying to recreate the song, just paying homage to the original. people get so tight-assed about music, damn.

  • They're trying to be Oingo Boingo. XD

Way to do the song justice.

  • What a shitty cover of an awesome song. Way to fuck it up fags.

  • wow this is actually pretty good

  • awesome. i feel kinda ashamed for not knowing this song oO

heard it for 3 days straight by now :)

  • Original is much better, tasteless fools.

  • I love this cover.

  • why is everybody bagin on this cover its is not bad and thats to all of you suckers that say it sucks now stick that in yo straw and suck it

  • Wow... 35 seconds in, and this is absolutely terrible... some songs just shouldn't be covered, especially one as awesome as this.

  • great cover, but the drummer over does the double bass hits a bit

  • Can anyone help me with the bass tabs?

  • fucking amazing cover - much better than the original i think

  • @targetpractise i know rite! my brothers band is gonna do a cover of this cover.

  • Ehhh...It's just not the same without that awesome brass section.

  • Not a bad cover, but I still prefer the cover.

  • good cover .

  • i dont care what you fuc*s say i think this cover was done well

  • This isn't punk.

  • @jek21 It was classified as punk back in its younger days.

  • @blazingbullet1924 I'm not talking about Oingo Boingo, I'm talking about the shitty mallcore band covering Oingo Boingo.

  • gay

  • This is terrible; fucking flash in a pan scene bands

  • I don't know why people give this song so much guff. It's one of the least overly-reinterpreted covers I've ever heard. They added some clever melodies and slight changes to the vocal arrangement but for the most part, they just took the energy up a little by way of slightly heavier guitars. It's not the most amazing thing I've ever heard, but it's definitely a formidable cover as far as covers go.

  • I like the original.

  • @DukeFilmsInc The original is actually more punk rock than this shit.

  • aww...A thorn for every heart...they didn't do too great on this song, but hell it's still good

  • I thought that the This is Bat Country song I just listened to was the worst god damn thing I've ever seen in my entire life but hey A Thorn for Every Heart to just shit all over that.

Really glad to see Dead Man's Party reduced to generopunk.

  • I've noticed that no one talented covers Oingo Boingo.

Has any ever seen the artists on Dead Band's Party? The only bands that didn't suck were Reel Big Fish and The Aquabats. >.>

  • The Matches and Zebrahead together covered Violent Love by Oingo Boingo. They did a pretty good job at it. Check it out.

  • I can't believe I bought this cd for this song...

  • oh come on, it's not too bad a cover :)

  • yeah it is

  • Hey for a cover of dead mans party and by a semi good band it's actually a pretty good cover song

  • This isn't that bad. It's not AMAZING, and it's not as good as the original, but it's still not bad at all. Kudos for trying to take on such a feat as covering Oingo Boingo.

  • not to diss the band or anything, but no. just no. NOBODY should redo any danny/oingo boingo songs. they are too perfect to be touched. kudos on the vocals though. he actually kinda sounded like danny.

  • Love it...It's a good spin on the original version!

  • I actually like this version of the song...the vox are faithful to the original while the guitars and drums have a cool updated pop metal feel that fits the song. They stayed faithful to the original yet gave it a little of their own flavor to it. Well done.

  • Man, they slaughtered a classic :(

  • No, Waltham slaughtered this song. Look it up (I'd post a link, but YouTube's retarded like that.)

  • AMAZING!!

  • awful... where's the OG?

  • Shoot me now. 30 seconds into the song I stopped it. This is horrible. None of the bands on the CD are even punk. This song puts shame on Oingo Boingo. 1/5 (zero if it was possible).

  • Oh dear God. WTH. The original is much better.

  • Eh, yuck. The original song is better by far.

  • a thorn for every heart = punk?! (now, in retrospect, i don't think i've ever actually listened to atef, i always inferred they were emo/alternative)

wow, the vocs really sound like the lead of oingo boingo (hmm, the only song i sorta like is little girls... freaks me out every time!! :D also, it reminds me of stanley, haha. (8 )

  • Cool I like this version :D

  • You do advertisement now?! LOLz!

  • LOL I suppose so. :- P But I want more unknown music to be found. @_@

  • So.. advertisement.. LOL, THEY SHOULD PAY U! LOLz.

  • One of my friends (you don't know him) knows the lead singer of this band. I guess i'm just trying to help make them known. :- P Because my friend is trying to promote them, too.

  • SO this must not be a very popular band XD LOLz, Jk... okay-dokey

  • uhm....how old are you? oingo boingo was quite popular during it's time (80's), danny elfman (lead singer) who did a lot of awesome job has written scores for numerous films with tim burton mostly and several tv series. they were not an unknown band. peace!

  • LOL, we're not that old @_@ my cousin just loves old music

  • I'm eighty six. Anyway, yes I know Oingo Boingo is an old band and they ARE quite known (most notably for their one-hit wonder, "Weird Science"). I meant A Thorn For Every Heart was the rather unknown/underrated one...

  • 86? Mmhhmm Sure... LOLz

  • @IshmealArmageddon

    one hit wonder eh

if you dont like only a lad you suck sorry :D

  • @IshmealArmageddon I think thats great that a man of your age knows about Oingo Boingo! They were a very talented band and they ended too early. Thank Goodness Danny Elfman is around to keep the bands spirit alive in his music. Take Care.

  • @AirstripSIXteeN .....right on....also pretty sure he is married to Jenna Elfman (pretty hot blonde from Darma and Greg)....so yeah he has indeed done pretty well for himself.

  • @mandinglos Actually, he's her uncle-in-law. He's actually married to Bridget Fonda, so make of that what you will. :)
