I just got a 2011 Tacoma in February. The tires it came with from the dealer didn't have much tread, so I got a set of Yokohamas GEOLANDAR A/T-S 265 vs. the 245's it came with. My gas mileage has been pretty good. I think these trucks are one of the most capable off-road vehicles out there. The next step is to get some ARB air-lockers, then it will be unstoppable.
The regular cabs are much better looking than the double cabs, also they are better for off roading and rock crawling and its cheaper, really nice truck. Just needs some black projector lamps.
These trucks are the best, I bought one for my lawn service and tow a 3500 pound trailer all day long around the hills of duluth. Tacoma's are in there own class and are just as capable as a base f150 or silverado. My milage sucks though, i average about 15mpg. Love the wheels on your truck.
@bpurdy305 thanks man. I love this truck too. For towin somethin like that on a regular basis, you'd probably be better off with a V8 - you'd see a less decrease in the MPGs.
Its a Daystar lift. Its only a spacer lift with a 2" block in the rear. The exhaust is stock in this video but I now have Doug Thorley catback and header. In 2 weeks I'll have a new OME 3" lift with a new leaf pack. I'll get new vids up once I get everything installed - I cant wait!
i had 4 Wheel Parts do all the work. I get about 20mpg. Probably would be better but im heavy on the gas ever since i got the exhaust system and CAI install cuz it sounds bad ass
