  • time to get a case

  • just me but i would just cut it down and not burn 5 gallons of fuel

  • this guy runs the Dozer like Obama runs the country

  • @macDiesiel

Except I'm not running the dozer for the entire country.

  • dont tell any one your a dozer drive because you will be telling lies

  • @italianjob1100 Yes, I generally go around and tell random people that I drive a dozer, lol.

  • @DavesTreeFarm she was a bit small for the job all rite you need more horse power

  • Love it! lol. But next time...get a dozer, and let the kiddos have the toys! although they are fun to play on. lol. The speed is set alittle high. Thus the spinning tracks. Lower gear lower idle. Looks like you had fun though. lol

  • I think this is cute. My953c, could have tore all of them tree's out in that time...

  • man you need some new cleats on that thing

  • all depends on the root system

  • work this root, sister.

  • Looks like it needs new pads.. Grousers look to be worn out.. As for it being a a Fuel sucker? My JD 550 uses about 2-2.5 Gallons an hour.. the 4045T is easy on fuel

  • Ok i thought it was just me but it does suck fuel fast but still a nice machine

  • some people say "go faster and hit higher" some people dont understand to fix a 30k dozer is kinda expensive and it sucks paying the bill to fix it.......

  • omg our 977h cat would take that sprout ideling

  • @dixiegurl2303 Yeah, but apparently some people have lawnmowers that would do it as well, although I'm still waiting on the videos :)

  • @dixiegurl2303 I think a 977 is just a little bit bigger than a JD450.

  • @scotty1045 yeah but with loader you get better leverage than dozer cuz bucket goes higher

  • @dixiegurl2303 that a lil bigger this is just a 450

  • I push trees this size over with my front loader tractor, how ever pushing one over that doesn't have a top is tough. The top gives you momentum in the direction of the lean especialy when leaves are on it.

  • Nice twig, nice toy, wheres the 5 ft diameter tree and the Cat D-11?

  • Toro, Ramming is a good way to break things on the dozer. I can tell youve never owned one or maybe you just damage someone elses? There are no springy give parts on a dozer and if your ramming fails, you may have a $20000 repair bill for your haste. This guy is a good operator, he cut the roots where needed, drove dozer skillfully and efficiently, and didnt ram it once he started it falling so he didnt get root ball hung up and blocking under the blade. Good Job, from old cat skinner!!

  • this dozer is weaksauce

  • @sp2001 this has a lot of power for its size its acutally made for final grading but you can take trees down with it

  • this guy needs to grow a pair and just ram the freaking tree!

  • @toro74449

LOL. I thought I WAS ramming the tree. Maybe I didn't select "ramming speed" on the speed dial. Next time for sure.

  • I have a D6 and can tell you from experience that some new grousers would make a huge difference. Those looked pretty low from what I could see.

  • You sent me the very first message. Period the end. You probaly sent it to the wrong person.

  • ? What?

  • stop pissing about with a d4 and hire a d8 or d9

  • I totally agree with you

  • God kills a baby kitten every time you knock down a tree for fun...

  • what a dumb ass you r!!!!!!!!!!!

  • To bad you left God, you will pay in the end, and you know it. Go back to the thruth.

  • Better off renting an excavator for tree removal. Dig up the roots more efficiently and push from a higher point with more levarage. Either way is good fun though. To each his own.

  • If I were removing a few trees then, yes, an excavator has its advantages. What I was trying to do was clear about a dozen acres in order to plant pine. I learned fairly quick that this wouldn't work, but it was fun like you said. I ended up contracting a logger who trucked out 14 loads of what I thought was worthless hardwoods. Live and learn.

  • people if you dont start fighting against oboma there will be no more bulldozeing in this country ,call you reps sen, gov. let them know you want too stop all of obomas taxes mfees health care, if they pass all that there will starvation , no work, cap and trade is a islamica tax they come up with ,you have islam takeing over the u s a with oboma , stop it now.

  • LOL, I did not think it would be possible to inject politics into a video about a bulldozer. I can tell you that the bulldozer was politically independent. And what exactly is an "Islamica tax" ? Nevermind. Gotta love Youtube.

  • What is a oboma. Is that wht I used to, I said use to wake up with? loooooooooooooooool.

  • nice work. usefull machiene for sure! just shows what a small dozer can do! ignore silly lawnmower comparisons, some people have no idea.

  • Thats a weak ass dozer! Man, invest in a DOZER. My lawn mower can do that $hit.

  • It was a rental. I had no idea what it could or could not do at the time I rented it. For that particular size dozer, it has its purpose, and land clearing is not what it's intended use is. The video is for someone considering renting a similar size machine so they would know its limitations. For a few trees, it's not a bad cost/power ratio.

I would definitely like to see videos of these bad-ass lawnmowers everyone seems to have.

  • not a bad little machine there mate, could do some damage with that n clear alot of bad trees out :)

  • you can take down the same tree with a lawnmower and snow blade by digging the roots out first. Not impressed

  • This particular tree was definitely the outlier. Most of the other similar size trees went down with a single push. I'd like to see you clear 20ac. with a lawnmower, LOL, then I would be impressed.

  • chainsaw anyone?

  • Upgrade to a CAT D9

    LOL

  • jd are pies of shit go with cat even an old d3 would of had that tree down in less time then this vid

  • The ease of pushing over trees depended on type of tree and soil as much as diameter. The cat D3 is a lighter machine with less HP, so I have to disagree with you. I wont argue whether a comprable cat would have been stronger, it may or may not. Thanks for the comment.

  • If I were to buy one then it is the best combination of power vs cost for me. If I were to rent for clearing, then I agree that something bigger would be much more efficient. Overall it is a really nice machine. I certainly wouldn't want anything smaller (ie; komatsu d21, etc.).

  • Dead trees are the worst to knock down. Of course something bigger than a 450 is usually used for land clearing. How do you like that dozer?

  • Hell yeah! Now thats how ya take a tree down!!
