another classic case of not enough back pressure my buddies s13 had the same problem when he was straight piped n/a. Not enough back pressure, at the time he was also getting too much shit from the cops for the exhaust so he put on the stock exhaust and that solved the problem just fine.

How is ebay exhaust not an upgrade? If the ebay exhaust is a larger diamiter over stock which will flow a tad more, i cant see how its not an upgrade. He may only gain a couple of hp but nothing to jump and scream about.

Ebay exhaust are fine too, its a hit or miss, some are great others suck. This sounds fine for a $100 exhaust compared to some brand name $900 one.

cuz they only have like 2 inch after cats and cheap headers. and they're too quiet. its better to get custom at an exhaust shop, you choose where the flanges go, plus you dont have to deal with shipping and well, ebay.

NA engines need some backpressure unlike turbo charged ones. put back the muffler & keep the straight pipe where the cat is. When you have enough money in the distant future, then replace the stock muffler with a nice exhaust
