If you've never heard it but think it sounds familiar, this girl from England called Joss Stone covered it in early-mid 2000's and here in New Zealand her version had alot more success than the white stripes', I think most people think the she wrote the song.

@deveaux77 Oh yeah so many people ask what that song is, it's "Slowly turning into you" from their album Icky Thump. It's an awesome album, but I also have "Get behind me Satan" and "White Blood Cells", both of which I listen to just as much as Icky Thump.
What really trips me out is how many people on here think that song's mean but the video cuts to a different one just before Jack's badass slide solo, go buy Icky Thump.
Oh and Joss Stone just changed it to "Fell in love with a boy".

@capnvanthompson It's from Bluesfest 2007, I think. A lot of people ask me about that video, I might upload it. And yes, Jack did look oddly young during that tour.
@capnvanthompson Quite frequently, The White Stripes would write a song and play it at live shows before they would release a recording of it. In fact, I believe that "Get Behind Me Satan" was their first album to not have any songs that were not previously played live. (I think I remember Jack saying this in an interview on the KCRW radio special when they came out with "Get Behind Me Satan"). Maybe he just came up with that riff on the spot in that show!

@deveaux77 Oh yeah so many people ask what that song is, it's "Slowly turning into you" from their album Icky Thump. It's an awesome album, but I also have "Get behind me Satan" and "White Blood Cells", both of which I listen to just as much as Icky Thump.
What really trips me out is how many people on here think that song's mean but the video cuts to a different one just before Jack's badass slide solo, go buy Icky Thump.
Oh and Joss Stone just changed it to "Fell in love with a boy".

@capnvanthompson Quite frequently, The White Stripes would write a song and play it at live shows before they would release a recording of it. In fact, I believe that "Get Behind Me Satan" was their first album to not have any songs that were not previously played live. (I think I remember Jack saying this in an interview on the KCRW radio special when they came out with "Get Behind Me Satan"). Maybe he just came up with that riff on the spot in that show!
