There are fossils thats evidence,only water or drowning can preserve fossils when it is smacked to the ground. Not only that but rock sedaments show the decretion of water. Why don't they teach that cuz scientist don't want to.
Oh sorry I commented my other idea in the wrong box, there are many people who have dug fossils who believed it could be caused by a flood the sedements have waives,and some are crystalized which can only be done when compressed in water. Sort of like frying dough on chicken.A comet would destroy evidence,and so would fiery lava.

The question is, why do all these 200 stories talk about a Global flood?
According to Hovind the fault lines are the result of the global flood. Plate tectonics is kinda like the theory of evolution. There's no question that the continents move a little, but that doesn't prove they all used to fit together in some super continent (Pangea). Similarly, species do change a little, but that doesn't prove that they all evolved from simple organisms.
If you really mean to say that there are 200 documented stories about a global flood, please provide some reference. If you think Hovind did, please watch Extant Dodos critical analysis.
Kent Hovind also believes that Noah took dinosaurs in the ark. It might seem implausible because dinosaurs are so big, but there's no need to take the biggest ones you can find: take two babies. They require less space and less food.

The bible has not been copied or altered. It has been translated and it is very hard to get all the words correct because in many languages there are different sounds/words for different things. The bible is the only nook that has scientific evidence for its truth. And don't look at the Quran because its a wanna-be Bible.
The ark to me sounds like some sort of portal into " heaven " not a boat.
