I can comment on the Honda V-tec 3.5L Vue because we owned one. Good engine, very smooth. However--it shifted at 5500rpm, lame for DOHC enigne. You could feel the ECM pulling the timing away too. It is faster the the 2nd gen Vue--only because it weighs at least 400lbs lighter (1st gen AWD V6 3700lbs or so---new one 4100 or so)
I personally think blacking out the tail lights may be a little too much for the Vue, and its also an invitation to get pulled over. I live in LA, California's economy is FUCKED UP and they are pulling over and ticketing people like crazy for stupid shit like not having a front license plate. I got a tint/front license plate ticket and it was $50 dollars. I work in Malibu and I see at least 6+ cars on AVERAGE getting pulled over. It's ridiculous over here.
For sure did you see my other vid? It is such a smooth quiet comfortable ride. No complaints at all. Just wish it was a "REAL AMERICAN CAR.." Ykno? My girl wants to black out the grill and her emblems. We'll see how it turns out. Just added 8000K Xenons for the headlights/fog lights. Looks ridiculous. Not trying to spend TOO much on it, already put thousands into my little Tacoma.
The new Vue is pretty dopey looking with stock rims. If you have a chance check out my other vid of me walking around the 09 Vue, my girl and I put 20" American Racing rims on it, looks great with them. And, the 3.6 has a lot more low end torque than the 3.5.
Great engine, very powerful and full of low end torque. Saturn started making some attractive cars recently, too bad they got scrapped. I just hope this engine ends up being reliable. I got into an arguement with a guy who owns an 05 Vue and he said the new Vues are ugly and European looking. Well, more people are investing their money in BMW SUVs, Toyotas, etc. Gm just had to compensate, and my girl and I get a lot of compliments on this SUV. Thanks for your comment :).
