Im in Canada and it doesnt give u a phone number with the Canadian area code, so if i use a american phone number to text someone in Canada even tho im in Canada ,would it charge me or the person im texting. Plz awnser!!!!!!!

Mmm... Textfree has better servers. My messages using Textfree have ALWAYS gone through, not the same can be said about Textnow (which I also have).

And she texts me from two different addresses, a "571-991-****" Number, and her "@textnow.me" address, she said on her thing, when she got it, it didn't have the "West Virginia" province/state listed, so she picked "Virginia" The nearest state to our state, can you tell me if she is lying or telling the truth? Can you use cellular numbers on textnow application, or do you only get a textnow.me address?

I downloaded the free version of textnow. I did try it out. I tried it out by sending a few texts to my verizon wireless phone and it did recieved it but when I tried sending it back to textnow, textnow just wouldn't recieve it. Can anybody help me on how to solve this problem?

Lol after you first buy it and the date expires, you dont have to pay the other $7.99 or however much it cost cause it still gives u like 99 texts to send each day but if you dont use them all, they add up with the next days  :O

Although, id suggest you purchase textfree because the unlimited version is free now and it works a lot better in terms of alerting you and displaying the message a whole lot better. it also sends to the same networks as textnow. im still sad i paid for the unlimited  version of textnow when its so crappy. . . =(

I liked textnow until I found a much better app, itim text app. It 's the ONLY App with unlimited MMS plus texts. I mean I can actually receive photo and video mms directly on my iPod touch and also send MMS to any cellie. The Best Part is its on SALE for only $2.99. So, if you only want texting then textnow is good enough. But, if you want a full text messaging app with full MMS including receiving Pics and videos mms (directly to the app not thru email), then do what I did, UPGRADE to iTim

If you scroll through their forums, this seems to happen quite often. The support site states that the servers are overloaded but wow? What are they using for a servers? Commodore 64's? I may be oversimplifying but this is text, and very small amounts of it. Back in the day, one could have compuserve on a C-64 with a 300 bps modem and stream text all day long. This is 2009 and we cant get enough horsepower to send text messages?

I just got this today with the unlimited option. So far, the servers are extremely slow, taking over an hour to send or receive a message and sometimes the server does not respond at all. I've tried sending to people of multiple carriers, all with the same result @ AT&T, T-Mobile & Sprint.
