@Zelfit The Mind Garage wrote the first rock mass. I heard the Mind Garage live several times in '60's, including hearing them play the Electric Liturgy at Bower Hill Presbyterian Church in 1967 or '68. But, they were a secular band, and played regular, secular songs. This was one of them. This song (flip side of "Reach Out"), were released as a single on Morning Glori records back in 1968. So, to be truly accurate, they were the first regular band to also play Christian songs.
The first Christian Rock Band, they used to play in churches and surprise te people.
