an observation on evolution: It doesn't matter. Meaning, if evolution is totally true, it changes NOTHING about the Bible. It just means God used that as his tool for creation. @electrocuteanna actually, in Bereshit, the first of books in the Torah (The old testament), it says: "ויאמר אלוקים נעשה אדם בצלמנו כדמותנו ", which translates into (in my own translation): "And thus said God let us make man in our image." Although the "our" and "us" raises theological difficulties, it plainly says that we were made to look like God.

Alright, but if you think about it, God would need no reason to look the way we do, because our anatomy has many special functions. God would not need eyes or arms or legs or anything.

Well, let's look at it this way: If you looked like a worm, which doesn't have eyes, and you were able to create a race, then you wouldn't have created them with eyes, because you wouldn't have known the concept of eyes. God maybe doesn't NEED eyes, but he may still see himself with having eyes nevertheless.

I just can't see it that way. I think God wouldn't look at all like humans. If we evolved from other primates, then why would God look the way we do? If God created the earth and the universe, then all of that came first, including gorillas and such. Then we evolved and adapted and are you telling me you think God said something like "Okay, I want something that looks like me. Let me let a species of Gorillas evolve so I can have something that looks like me." I just can't imagine that.

No need to think about it at all. God told us in his word(bible) that we were created in his image. Therefore, we can expect our features to be similar in concept(e.g., eyes to see, ears to hear, mouth to speak,etc).

Many jewish folks don't believe that Jesus was present from the beginning and have problems with the concept their being God the Father, God the Son and the holy spirit acting as one.
