I never said Sonic Underground was a good show. I just said the only tolerable episodes were the one with Knuckles in it. Other than, 99% of the show sucked, but it was miles better than the abominations that were Sonic X (Both lanuages) & the Sonic OVA.

IMHO, I think Sonic Underground was alright, but the only decent episodes were the ones that had Knuckles, as those actually had something to do with the games a little. (Friend or Foe is mostly based off Sonic 3 & Knuckles.) But aside from that, all of the other episodes were utter garbage and the show itself was never worth watching at all. Sure it may have more tolerable than Sonic X & the OVA IMHO, but it was no where as good as AOSTH & SatAM.

Well, ok. I love Sonic; I have a lot of fun with his games, I enjoy thinking about what the character can do, what he does in his world, and how he interacts with other characters. I like imagining what could've been great games & adventures in place of the shitty mediocrity of recent times.

As far as SaveSEGA's appraisal of a fan is concerned, I don't give that much of a shit. If I love something enough, you can bet your ass I'll either criticize it or enjoy it, and that's all there is to it.

I think you can be a fan of something, but you don't have to necessarily be active in the fandom to be a fan. That might have been what she meant, but I'm not sure. I also think she can be a fan of Sonic just from watching the show, too, but she's just not getting as much fun out of the franchise that she could be by not playing the games. I became a fan of FFVII from the movie which encouraged me to play the game.

I always thought that to be a fan of something was to follow and enjoy it. Even if you only like certain parts of it. I consider myself a fan of crash bandicoot because of the PS1 games, even if his last few releases have been utter shit. I hated the last 2 fighter type games he had. Sonic is okay to me, I watched AoStH when I was a little kid, played the first sonic games. After Sonic 06, Sonic got abit stale for me and I moved on, not a huge fan of him like when I was eight or ten. However, I would like to see the Chao Gardens from SAB2 and SA1 make a return, the most replay value of those two games. Maybe for Wiiware. . .
