Looks nice (I think). The front grille and light cluster looks like a Camry. The read looks rather bland that it does not have the external spare wheel. This RAV starting to look like a Highlander(US)/Kluger(AUS). It goes to show that the RAV is getting mature and bigger by revision and updates. Will it eventually get to the LandCruiser size? Hmmm time will tell.
So is the Rav4 a true 4x4 now? I thought it was an all wheel drive vehicle, but had a button to lock the rear differential undfer 30 kph like the tacoma trd and 4 runner have. I had a dealer recently tell me it was a real 4x4 , front wheel drive until you lock it in witj a button..
I'm digging the squinty headlights. So new taillamps, front bumper, hood, and headlights, why does the toyota website show the 2011 RAV4 looking like the older models?
@DtorBillAgain The new interior is almost identical to the old one, slight differences maybe but still definately the same. Which in my opinion is not at all attractive. Interiors at Toyota in my opinion have long been a weakness. IMO of course.
@lbart2005 The interior is (not doubt) the best in its class (not just quality of material but also design), the car (at least in my opinion is also one, if not the most, attractive in its class), go to see it, just with a small option, the rims...
Moreover, don't forget, this is another version (better than the another, in fact), not the new model which will be launched during 2011.

Using the same batteries as the Chevy Volt, the Chevy volt is unable to make more than 25mpg (Consumer Reports). Again, misleading ads from Sonata with its "mediocre numbers about consumption?".

Today I drove 2 of the IIHS 2011 TOP SAFETY PICKS: the Kia Sportage, and Hyundai Tucson. Both were GREAT! The Kia Soirtage's seat was more comfomfortable than the Hyundai Tucson and the very uncomfortable seat of the Rav 4. But the Hyundai Tucson had better visibility when you look over your right shoulder to change lanes. becuase it has a small triange window behind the back seat passenger window. As of today Rav 4 is NOT on the IIHS Top Safety List and the competition is HERE !!!
You're too emotional. If the 2011 Rav 4, Insurance Institute for Highway Safety rating comes out, if it rates "Good" in ALL 3 tested areas, I am buying one. If not, I will NOT. Simple ?? So far for 2011: Here are the Institutes TOP SAFETY PICKS: Kia Sportage, Subaru Forester, Hyundai Tucson, Honda Element, Volkswagen Tiguan, Jeep Patriot with optional side torso airbags I hope Rav 4 will be included , but as of today is has not been.

I was going to buy a 2010 Rav 4 until I researched the IINS rating on roof strength. The Rav 4 was only rated at: as AVERAGE for 2006-10 models. So I hope for the 2011 they made a corrections, otherwise I am buying from a compnay that thinks roof not caving in are a good thing. It's a wait and see for me, at least till the 2011 ratings come out. Even the Kia Sportage has a rating of: GOOD for roof strenght on their 2011 modles and is a top safety pick

@lizard460 Idiots like you need not apply, Toyota's have proven safer than other manufactors even with the so called unintended accelleration which now appears to be showing up in other car companies products anyways. You have a better chance of being struck by lightning then having unintended acceleration. Quit using more than one carpet mat. The pedal assemblies are used by more than 1 manufactor so you maybe better check yours if you are so panicked.
Look at: IIHS-HLDI: Crash Testing & Highway Safety. The 2010 Rav 4 Test results only measured "Average" not "Good" . That means the roof, in a roll over accident, did cave in to a certain degree. The2011 Kia Sportage, tested "Good" in ALL categores. being a TOP SAFETY PICK for 2011. I do not know if I will buy one. But I will check it out. Especially if the 2011 Rav 4 did not step up to the plate and make their roof in a roll over "Good" After all they charge enough !!

Today I drove 2 of the IIHS 2011 TOP SAFETY PICKS: the Kia Sportage, and Hyundai Tucson. Both were GREAT! The Kia Soirtage's seat was more comfomfortable than the Hyundai Tucson and the very uncomfortable seat of the Rav 4. But the Hyundai Tucson had better visibility when you look over your right shoulder to change lanes. becuase it has a small triange window behind the back seat passenger window. As of today Rav 4 is NOT on the IIHS Top Safety List and the competition is HERE !!!

You're too emotional. If the 2011 Rav 4, Insurance Institute for Highway Safety rating comes out, if it rates "Good" in ALL 3 tested areas, I am buying one. If not, I will NOT. Simple ?? So far for 2011: Here are the Institutes TOP SAFETY PICKS: Kia Sportage, Subaru Forester, Hyundai Tucson, Honda Element, Volkswagen Tiguan, Jeep Patriot with optional side torso airbags I hope Rav 4 will be included , but as of today is has not been.

I was going to buy a 2010 Rav 4 until I researched the IINS rating on roof strength. The Rav 4 was only rated at: as AVERAGE for 2006-10 models. So I hope for the 2011 they made a corrections, otherwise I am buying from a compnay that thinks roof not caving in are a good thing. It's a wait and see for me, at least till the 2011 ratings come out. Even the Kia Sportage has a rating of: GOOD for roof strenght on their 2011 modles and is a top safety pick

Don't worry, your left foot will only be amputated. Even the Kia Sportage has a rating of POOR on left leg injuries and AVERAGE overall. Overall Rating for Rav4? GOOD. It's quite fair of you to compare a car that has just been redesigned to a car that has been on the market for 5 years.

@lizard460 Idiots like you need not apply, Toyota's have proven safer than other manufactors even with the so called unintended accelleration which now appears to be showing up in other car companies products anyways. You have a better chance of being struck by lightning then having unintended acceleration. Quit using more than one carpet mat. The pedal assemblies are used by more than 1 manufactor so you maybe better check yours if you are so panicked.

Look at: IIHS-HLDI: Crash Testing & Highway Safety. The 2010 Rav 4 Test results only measured "Average" not "Good" . That means the roof, in a roll over accident, did cave in to a certain degree. The2011 Kia Sportage, tested "Good" in ALL categores. being a TOP SAFETY PICK for 2011. I do not know if I will buy one. But I will check it out. Especially if the 2011 Rav 4 did not step up to the plate and make their roof in a roll over "Good" After all they charge enough !!
