Fly Fishing Kokanee Salmon- Southwestern, Colorado

im surprised, when they are in there spawning stage (red) they dont really bite but i guess these do. Check out my sockeye salmon on my channel

@profisherman17 Oh yeah a very big misnomer. All soccus hit! Whoever says they don't never thoroughly fish them. I've caught them in alaska, montana, and colorado and with the right presentation they tear it up. Nice job on the sockeye!

Love the bonus brown, but I think the spawning kokes are about as neat as it gets. We don't have many oppurtunities in California for spawning kokes, most of the tribs are closed for the fish's protection.

Yeah, the browns are fun but the kokanee are a kick. The run this area gets is amazing all things considered.
